As another year comes to an end, I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for letting me share what I’m passionate about from my small corner of the internet. Thank you for taking the time to stop by, and also for sharing parts of your lives with me! Reading comments, messages, and even getting to meet some of you in person continue to be some of the most meaningful aspects of blogging for me.
My style has definitely evolved over the years and I love dabbling in trends, but I’ll always be a classic girl at heart. It seems that you guys tend to feel the same – below are some of the most viewed or pinned posts from 2016, which also happen to be some of my personal favorites! At the bottom of this post, I’ve also recapped some MVP new closet additions, along with my favorite how-tos / tips & tricks from this year…
Favorite Tips & Tricks and guides:
What to do and where to eat in Boston!
Packing 10 days of outfits in a carry-on bag
Hair tutorial: high bun that actually stays put
Tucking a sweater over a dress
Favorite New Additions From 2016:
These closet MVPs are finds from this year that I keep reaching for over and over again! It was really hard to narrow down, but each piece here has traveled with me numerous times now and truly earned their place on the list. If you have a favorite item or look you discovered this year through this blog, I’d LOVE to hear about it!
Hi Jean!
As I've mentioned before, everything you post is always so classy and fabulous. 2016 was a year I tried a few pieces I would not have normally tried had it not been for your blogs and style suggestions. The blush colored belt from Ann Taylor has been one of my favorites and it pairs beautifully with a few different pairs of shoes I picked up based on how great you made blush look all year long! The belt also looks great with pencil skirts! My other favorite is the scarf from your Swingy Shades of Gray post–as I gave it to two of my gfs who attended my wedding as a welcome gift.Last is the Zella live-in tights. Although I'm pretty sure I bought the wrong size, oops, I do love them and as you suggest they are perfect when travelling. I am comfortable without looking homeless. 🙂 Win! So thank you for all the awesome recommendations. You rock!
Love all of your outfits! They are practical, classy, and petite friendly. Your posts are also always incredibly helpful. Hope 2017 is full of many blessings!

Hi Jean,
I've heard about your blog a few years ago but didn't start following you religiously until late 2015. Thank you for giving us so many style ideas! One of my favorite recommendations of yours was the Chicwish Prairie Check Rabato Coat: It was not a style that I would have tried had I not seen it on your site. It wasn't love at first sight: When I first received it I was actually a bit disappointed because the colors were darker than I imagined. Nonetheless, I got it at the additional 30% off during Cyber Monday, which is an amazing bargain for a coat that fits right off the rack. Once I started wearing it though it really grew on me. Now it is my favorite coat during this SF winter and I've gotten a lot of compliments for it, not to mention how warm and cozy it is. My other favorite is the Bobeau wrap cardigan – I bought 2 last year and just ordered another color last week.
Let us know when you're coming for another event in SF – would love to meet you in person!
Nice photos dear 😉

I discovered Halogen through your 11/7 post – and most importantly, their crew neck cashmere sweaters. I originally bought the camel version, and quickly went back for the same sweater in both black and navy. I basically live in them – both at home and work. Thank you so much for the tip – can't wait for more in 2017!
Happy New Year, Jean! You're my favorite blogger as your posts are always classy and thoughtful. Keep up the great work!
You and your guy are so cute together! Hope you both have a great NYE 🙂

I follow several fashion blogs and yours is my favorite. You hit it out of the ballpark nearly every time. I have purchased a few items from your blog and have been very happy with them. I'm 5'8" so in no way petite, but anyone of any size can learn from your tips. Thank you and happy new year!
Your style is definitely one of my favorites! It's classy and can actually be worn on a day to day basis! Happy New Year!
