Observing the winter street style in Paris reignited my love for circle / infinity scarves. I counted several of them being sported around town, oftentimes color-coordinated with the coat or sweater underneath so that it looked like one congruous piece. In this inspired look, I combined two olive knit pieces which together almost looks like a generous cowl-neck sweater. My scarf comes in 4 neutral colors and is now just $12, as part of many winter accessories marked down from Nordstrom’s half yearly sale! When shopping for distressed jeans, I always look for stock photos where the knee holes fall well above the actual knees of the model (like in this case!). Sure enough, the distressing placement on these jeans turned out to be perfect for shorter legs and the overall length just needed a ~ 1″ cuff on me. The 98% cotton / 2% spandex material is comfortable and reminds me of the Express light gray jeans that I wear to death. The website sizing lists a 25 as equal to 00, and I’d say these fit in between a typical 24 and 25 in designer denim with a small waist gap on me (better when worn with a belt).
This trusty Blank NYC jacket is an oldie that’s still going strong! Even my critical grandma expressed approval for it this Christmas. I know I’ve said this before, but it feels better with age as the material gets softer and more pliable with wear.
Here’s how the scarf looks just alone over a sweater – compared to the oversized blanket scarves that I also love, infinity scarves are a little more compact, and transition more seamlessly for wearing indoors without looking out of place. Here’s another infinity scarf option at a steal for under $10, and I’ve also been eying this chunkier knit one in taupe.
Thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
