fair isle sweater cozy petite lounge outfit

A&F fair isle sweater xxs, Express knit joggers xxs petite, JCF slippers (great gift < $20)

Before getting to all the good deals today, I first wanted to say THANK YOU to those of you who collectively helped grant over 60 wishes yesterday for kids at the Home for Little Wanderers. When I opened up the sign-up doc last night I had tears in my eyes seeing everything fulfilled—I wish I could hug each one of you! There’s a few hundred wishes left on The Home’s database, so I added a few more to our list today!

Black Friday 2019 shopping Guide

I’m starting with designer items that rarely get discounted, followed by practical purchases on sale, and then picks from my go-to, petite-friendly brands! Be sure to skim Other Notable Sales at the bottom, as there are some new finds like a a genuine leather jacket that fit amazingly off the rack. Like last year, I also noted GIFT PICK on a few good options for both guys and gals on your list!

nike cyber monday 2019 deals

The Deal:
Designer items on sale with free international shipping. I have ordered a few times from these luxury good sites before and have always had a positive experience with fast shipping.

1. SSENSE
Retailer notes: Fast & free international shipping, easy returns for US & Canada. Canadian-based luxury retailer with a big designer selection and some smaller indie brands!

YSL is a great designer choice for petite ladies, as I’ve found the long straps to be easy to temporarily shorten by either crisscrossing them under the flap, or by using a chain clip under the flap. The chain strap styles are also convertible, thus super versatile – I use mine as a crossbody bag, shoulder bag with shortened chain, or tuck the chain fully inside to use the bag as a clutch!

  • GIFT PICK: sale YSL wallets, handbags, and belt bags. HUGE selection with some timeless, convertible pieces like wallet on chains (see my review), Kate tassel bags (see on me), and the classic monogram cardholder in pebbled leather. I have gifted their wallets and small zipper pouches to special recipients on my list (always a huge hit), and have always paid full price in the past so these are rare savings!
  • YSL wallets & pouches:

  • YSL convertible chain bags:

  • YSL belt bags (been eying these forever, wondering if I can pull off the look!):

  • Gianvito Rossi pumps including my beloved Plexi pumps in black or white in small sizes!
  • Golden Goose Sneakers starting in sz 34 & up, for about $150 to $200 less compared to U.S. retailers.
  • Marc Cross handbags including a classic small Grace box bag in brown or ivory (also check out the TDE box bag for a great quality dupe at 20% off + free international shipping)
  • See by Chloe sandals and boots

2. Farfetch
Retailer notes: International shipping & sales tax depending on the item location (has been free with no tax the couple times I’ve shopped there), easy returns. Farfetch aggregates inventory from different luxury boutiques globally so has an extremely vast selection, and that’s why you’ll see the “ships from” location varies from item to item. Select sale items are eligible for extra 30% off with code FFX30.

3. YSL.COM (newly added)
Retailer notes: Free international shipping to a number of countries, signature brand packaging included. Thanks to those who let me know about the 30% off sale that just started on Saint Laurent’s own site! I wish they made it possible to filter out sold out items though.

brooklinen sheets black friday sale

The deal: 20% off site wide. Been waiting for this to pick up another sheet set, as they rarely have promos!

  • GIFT PICK: Luxe Cotton Sateen core sheet set. As a sleep deprived new mom, I turned to Instagram last year seeking the best sheets and an overwhelming number of you suggested this brand. I promptly ordered this set and have yet to look back. It’s nothing life changing but is a solid set of smooth, crisp and comfortable sheets that are cool and breathable in the summer. Also check out their bundle savings which include a duvet + extra pillowcases.
  • Classic Cotton Percale core sheet set. Slightly more affordable than Luxe and still with great reviews.

black friday deals winter boots and coats

  • Sperry
    • Women’s doorbuster: quilted saltwater duck boots for 50% off and free shipping. I have the grey/navy combo from years ago (see them on me), and it’s actually one of my favorites and pairs with so much.
    • Men’s doorbuster: waterproof wool duck boots for 50% off.
  • Backcountry
  • Marc Fisher
    • 25% off sitewide w/ CM19 + free shipping. My fave shoe brand this year, but more style than weather focused.
  • Cole Haan
  • Eddie Bauer
    • 50% off site wide and free shipping on coats, including their popular sun valley down parka available in petite, regular, and tall. This brand isn’t the most exciting but they do make very practical (read: water repellent, machine washable, removable hoods, secure pockets, 2 way zippers) and warm winter coats that come with a product quality guarantee! More petite coats here:

macys black friday deals
The deal: lots of Cyber Monday doorbusters + free shipping over $25

  • GIFT PICK: Martha Stewart cast iron dutch oven pots for over 60% off and free shipping on orders over $25. Best time of the year to buy these at a seriously good deal. My mom is an avid cook and uses these for soup, stew, braising, all the good stuff! Note a 2qt size is pretty small, so a 6qt size is more suited for family meals (and is priced at a bargain for under $65).

black friday beauty skincare deals 2019

Elemis: 30% off sitewide with CYBER19

    • Pro Collagen Cleansing balm (in original or their new rose). After seeing this all over Instagram, I finally tried it and it’s entirely worth the hype. The balm texture glides on and leaves my face feeling smooth and soft. I wash it off with a warm cloth, and it does an excellent job of cleaning off makeup without drying out my sensitive skin.
    • Superfood Facial oil. I’ve been enjoying this as part of my beauty oil collection (which I sometimes prefer to a standard moisturizer because they’re so quick to apply)! Absorbs well and feels nice on the face and neck.

Ulta: Daily deals + free ship for $35+. Some highlights:

Follain: 20% off sitewide + free shipping at my trusty clean beauty resource.

    • Refillable clean lemongrass soap (so good) + moisturizer from their in house line

  • Petites: petite sizing is an online exclusive.
  • Maternity & nursing pieces, including their cotton nursing camis (LIVED in these) and maternity leggings!

abercrombie black friday petite try ons
The deal:
50% off + free shipping on all orders. Very cute recent arrivals and this promo is much better than their usual (but small sizes going quickly). A few highlights from my recent try-ons:

abercrombie cable knit sweater petite try on

Left: cable sweater xxs // Right: crop cardigan xxs, Everlane jeans 24 ankle, Marc Fisher boots 5.5 c/o

This cable knit sweater above is probably my top pick from the sale (followed by the fair isle one below). Beautiful chunky braided knit and a smooth knit texture. I would prefer an XS though, as xxs was slim fit on me and I like my cable sweaters to be a little slouchier.

abercrombie petite sweater dress try ons

Left: Turtleneck sweater dress xs petite, Stuart Weitzman boots (old) // Right: Fair isle sweater xxs, Sperry boots 5

Also, not pictured here but I tried on this mini puffer jacket as well, and xxs regular was petite friendly and nice quality!)

abercrombie petite cardigan try ons

Left: puff sleeve sweater dress xxs petite, AT velvet headband // shawl cardigan xxs + lace cami xxs (love these)

The Deal: 50% off everything + free shipping with code CYBER

  • Knit trouser pants + bow blouse (both pictured below). Pants are a steal for $35 after the extra 50% off! They are a little big on me at the waist (but not as big as AT pants typically are on me) and would look so good on someone who fits them properly. Very flattering cut and nice stretchy knit material that still has an office-appropriate finish to them.
  • Beautiful cream coat from this try-on post.
  • GIFT PICK: petite wrap coat I’m always wearing (for under $100) and still always get questions on!
  • Shoes – absolutely love my AT shoe collection from flats to block heels to pointed pumps.

Tulle skirt xxs petite (waist is a little loose on me), bow blouse xxs petite, velvet headband

ann taylor navy knit pants petite try on

crystal button blouse xxs petite, stretch knit pants 00p (waist is a little loose on me), TB pumps 5

The deal: Doorbuster deals + 50% off everything else + free shipping.
A very good denim deal worth highlighting! Most of their their jeans are under $45 (originally $79 to $88) with free shipping. Their high rise ankle legging jeans in size 00 Short are some of my best fitting denim.

  • High rise leggings jeans fully stocked in short sizing for $39 + free ship – see them on me.
  • Recent review: petite friendly holiday pieces under $50
  • Recent review: black jumpsuit + petite faux fur jacket (doorbuster deal for $45 + free ship)

NordstromIn case you missed my post yesterday – Cyber Deals on lots of name brand items for the family, PLUS their gift card event where you can earn up to a $100 gift card on a $400 purchase. Excellent promo if you were planning on making a big purchase like baby gear!

  • Babyzen Yoyo bundle – for the regular price of the stroller by itself, you also get the footrest attachment (key for better stroller naps), parasol, and cup holder. See my detailed Yoyo review here.
  • Nuna Rava Carseat – We finally decided on this as our next-stage carseat after testing a few out inside our compact SUV and reading your recommendations!

Anthropologie – 30% off sitewide + an extra 50% off sale items + free shipping on orders of $100+.

Allsaints30% off sitewide. If you’re in search of a petite-friendly genuine leather jacket, I tried on a bunch here and their Balfern leather jacket (more shrunken in fit in the torso and sleeves) worked best on me. A size 00 fit me like a dream with no alterations needed. For a more minimal look with less zippers and buckles, the Dalby leather jacket in 00 is also pretty good, just a little bit less fitted on me compared to the Balfern.

Pottery Barn25% off + free shipping (excludes furniture) with code UNWRAP. Nori’s Anywhere Chair is on sale! (they do get you with shipping fees though : / We opted for the regular Anywhere Chair instead of the “My First” size, and it’s a nice size for her to grow into (she is currently 15 months old and loves to sit in it).

Reformation – 30% off everything at this sustainability-focused brand. Petites sizing is exclusive to their website, and their 0 / XS petite fits me pretty well and is usually more suited for smaller chests. Their dresses look seemingly simple, but the cuts are feminine and a little va va voom once you put it on! See their Nebraska dress on me here.

Hanna Andersson – 50% off and free shipping on everything. Matching family PJs with plenty of stock and patterns! See this post for more photos of these PJs on Nori and I, and this post for my sizing notes on their men, women, and kids pajamas. Also Nori has been slightly obsessed with pointing out her furry friend on this soft llama sweater (she’s 15 months and wears their stuff in size 18-24 months).

hanna andersson holiday pajamas

J.Crew – 50% off with code MONDAY.

  • GIFT PICK: Insulated men’s camel topcoat (with quilted lining) – see on Nick.
  • Sophie cardigan jacket (size down) – my go-to for travel. See on me here & here.
  • Lady Day Coat – my longtime favorite tailored coat but only a few remain in small petite sizes!
  • Nordic boots with shearling lining at a fab price (under $100). I have been in LOVE with the look of these as an alternative to my Marc Fisher ones, but they don’t make smaller than a size 6. Each boot also comes with two different shoelace options!

Nordstrom Rack – extra 30% off clearance + buy more get more gift card promo. Big Nike sale section for the whole family!

Loft – 50% off everything + free shipping with code CYBER. One of my favorite, more affordable spots for petite-friendly pieces that can be business casual friendly.

Banana Republic – 50% off regular price items, with $69 petite faux fur bombers and $30 sweaters as Black Friday doorbusters. See my recent petite jacket try-ons.

Gap – 50% off sitewide (code GAPCYBER) PLUS extra 10% off (code GOBIG) and doorbuster deals on cold weather gear. Their petites sizing is online only. P.S. this is the winter puffer coat I got Nori that several of you also raved about.

Petite Studio25% off your entire purchase with BF25OFF. Sizing starts in xxs (petite). For those who are not price conscious and looking for something a little different than the mainstream petite stores. I tried on a bunch of items and from a value perspective, I thought their Gretel wool pants fit great (no waist gap) and were a nice, thick and warm 100% wool with full lining.

Talbots – 50% off one regular price item + 40% off your entire purchase and free shipping. Petite sizing starts in “P” which fits like a 0/2/XS so is usually a little big on me, but they have some great shoes starting in size 5!

Ted Baker 30% to 50% off everything + free shipping on orders over $200. Not as petite-friendly lengthwise, but slim fitting. I have two coats from them that I love, and Nick loves their shorter track / bomber style jackets. Their size 0 womens fits like a 00 on me, however I get the sleeves shortened and the belt loops shifted up. Size 2 (S) mens fits Nick well and he’s about 5’8″ 165lbs).

WHBM – 40% off and free shipping + a gift (online only) with code 55332! Large petites selection, and free return shipping as well for non-clearance petite items so it’s risk-free to try something on!

I bought the duck boots on Sperry’s site a few nights ago! I fell in love with them in your first blog post and I’m glad I waited. I’m going to check out some of these sales too. I really like the XS Petite Eddie Bauer Cirruslite Down Jacket, too.

    • Reply Jean | Extra Petite November 30, 2019 at 10:36 am

Great to know about the EB jacket, thank you Amy! And yes I was so surprised to see one of their core styles as the BF doorbuster – great deal.

Would love higher end trench coats that doesn’t require alterations, though I’d settle for a good quality mid price if that’s all that’s available. I’m your height and just don’t want to deal with shortening the sleeves, been thinking of ordering a Burberry but I think the sleeves might be too long.

    • Reply Jean | Extra Petite November 30, 2019 at 10:40 am

Burberry is really the one and only for me for high end trench coats – so much experience goes into their core trenches, both technically and fit wise. I tried some of the current styles on recently and was reminded of how gorgeous they are. Do you have a Burberry store near you? The sleeve shortening is complimentary. I’ve had mine in size 2 all shortened and it’s worth the extra effort. I also check eBay periodically as some of the smaller sizes in the classic trenches make their way to there in new or like new condition.

IF you are a size 0, the sleeves might run short enough to fit you off the rack.

Hi from a petite from France ! I really enjoy your blog and this Black Friday guide is very clear and perfect for the petite I am ! It’s so so difficult to find cloths with my very small body 😀 !
Thank you (not from my bank account) for that I discover Abercrombie petite collection, so sad most of things I want are already out of stock ! Petite size are very difficult to get !
I’m not really into blog and such but I must admit I enjoy every article you make ! Unfortunately some brand like express are too expensive for a shipping abroad 🙁
Thank you so much and have a wonderful week ahead !

    Nathalie

    • Reply Jean | Extra Petite December 1, 2019 at 1:32 pm

Hi Nathalie! Thank you for your kind words. If you like the styles of Express you’ll have to check out ASOS petites if you don’t shop there already. They ship free to France I believe, are affordable, and run small!

  • Reply Chau December 2, 2019 at 5:38 pm

Thank you so much for sharing these fantastic deals! As a petite person, I hardly ever buy clothes online since I may not know how a certain item would fit. Nevertheless, your try-ons pictures and reviews was super helpful! I ended up purchasing multiple items from Loft, J.Crew, Banana Republic, and Everlane today!
