My most worn Everlane staples

EVERLANE JEANS 24 hems cut, BOXY TEE xs, J.CREW BLAZER 0 petite, SNEAKERS 5, $15 sunglasses

Since I first started shopping Everlane several years ago, a handful of their styles have become my most-worn everyday staples and layering pieces. Below I’ve rounded up the Everlane pieces I wear on heavy rotation with my fit and styling notes for each.

Several other brands are also having sales this weekend, including the below EP favorites:

  • Abercrombie: Up to 50% off + free ship on $75+, including several petite coats
  • Express: 30 – 50% off. Love their work pants and jeans in petite and short sizing.
  • J.Crew: Up to 30% off select styles, additional 60% off sale items (ends 1/24)
  • Ann Taylor: 50% off select styles with STYLE50 and an extra 50% off sale (ends 1/20)
Silky Cotton Button Up Shirt

Size: 00

Have this one in 2 colors! I love how light, airy, and causally oversized this shirt is. It’s a layering staple for both casual outfits (with jeans and even cutoff shorts) as well as workwear.

Authentic Stretch Skinny Jeans (Regular & Curvy)

Outfit is from this post.

Size: Regular fit in 24 ankle.

These have been my staple skinny jeans! The curvy fit is designed with an increased hip-to-waist ratio and also starts in size 23 ankle.

I have ordered both the ankle length and the standard length and can do either, if I cut the hems shorter on the standard length. See my post on how to cut jeans and avoid fraying.

Oversized Alpaca Sweater

Outfit is from this post.

Size: xxs

A favorite sweater that I have styled several ways during the colder months. I have both the almond (pictured) and warm taupe colors and some new ones were just added this week. The almond is the perfect ivory beige and goes with so much.

Note: I found this sweater to be a bit itchy when I first got it, but it has softened noticeably with wear!

Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater

Size: xxs

The fit on this cashmere sweater is oversized but looks great in my opinion with a half tuck. Absolutely love the color and the waffle knit texture. This sweater is very versatile and I’ve even worn it over a dress.

Paired here with their Authentic Stretch skinny jeans and my affordable Charles David OTK boots (on extra sale).

Box Cut Tee

Outfit is from this post.

Size: I size up to an xs for a loose fit.

I love these straight-cut tees as a wardrobe staple and have them in multiple colors, both with and without pockets! The length runs on the shorter side which is perfect for petites, and I size up to an xs from my usual xxs for a more relaxed fit.

Court Sneakers

Outfit is from this post.

Size: 5

My most reached for sneakers – these are are as cushy and comfortable as they are versatile. I’m usually between size 5 and 5.5. in most brands, and take the size 5 in this particular style

Note: The sneakers were recently updated and the colors may vary slightly from my “fog” pair. See my review and other ways I’ve styled the sneakers here.

Cheeky Straight Jeans

Outfit is from this post.

Size: 24, hems cut

I have these in both dark and light colors this year as an update from my usual skinnies! If the ankle length is still a bit long for you, I shared a tutorial on how I cut the hems on mine. Note: the wash I’m wearing is old. The current black wash looks like a true black vs my more weathered wash.

Hi! How do straight jeans like the ones you have from Everlane look from the back? I have been looking for jeans this cut but they tend to be loose at the rear and thighs on me. For reference I am 5’1, 95 lbs, and 23 in waist. Is that the style to an extent that I need to get used to or do I need to just keep looking for a brand/style that is more fitting for my body type? Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hi Jean! Have you been able to find socks that fit petite feet? (I wear a size 5 or 5 1/2 shoe.) I have found that it’s hard to find socks that fit properly. The socks I buy are always too big and the heel of the sock comes up past my heel and hangs over the stop of my sneaker, which is so unattractive. How have you handled this challenge?

Question for you..do think petites can wear faux leather shorts (not too short) over black tights with either a high heeled tall boot or a bootie? I’m thinking of a more classic look…not sexy…like with a chunky sweater…?
