I can’t thank you guys enough for all the encouragement and support already for Edited Pieces! There’s still so much to do before we’re ready to launch, and I’m excited to share more about the items and the process behind everything as that day gets closer.
For today’s post, I got such great feedback on my last video on work outfits for different dress codes that I wanted to do another installment with fall looks. You can scroll down to see the video or check it out on Instagram. I know many offices moved toward “smart casual” this year, and some are allowing jeans where they previously haven’t, so let me know what your dress codes are like and any requests!

Jean. I love the way you styled the J Crew shirt in this post. I bought a blouse in S Korea recently and did the same thing with the crossover and tucking it in. It looked so sharp.
please keep posting.
Ah, so beautiful!! I wish I could wear heels to work, but I can’t due to my spine and knee problems. This 27 years old 5’0 lady right here loves to take your ideas but adjust the footwear. People always compliment me! It does not matter how short you are as long as you look good dressed and confident. It took me A LONG time to learn that you do not have to be 5’6 to look beatiful, and your blog helped me along the way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Years ago: I was changing into my work clothes at the gym, which was located where I worked at the time. A lady I was changing next to said that my style reminded her of the Extra Petite blog. When I looked at the site, I was so pleased to see someone as petite as I am, looking so chic. I’ve been a huge fan ever since.
Thank you for posting about this – so helpful for some style inspo when we’re working in all different ways these days. Loved the Insta reel as well.
Thanks so much Cherie, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Jean,
Could you link where you got that beautiful mirror? Thanks! Love your style and the looks in the blog post!
Hi Lucinda, unfortunately I don’t have a link to share as the mirror was a HomeGoods find a few years ago
Love the work from home inspo! A reminder you can still look great and be camera ready while being comfortable!
Absolutely, all about the balance of presentable and comfy!
Love the wrap twist tucked in button down idea. How do you do this? Is the shirt buttoned or unbuttoned? How do you get it to stay like that?
Thank you! I left a couple of the bottom buttons undone and simply crossed the two sides of the shirt as I tucked it in
Hi Jean!
Did I just see an ‘EP’ skirt??? So exciting and it looks fantastic! Love the fit and color, will be ordering that for sure!
🙂 stay tuned!!
Love this post! I can use these ideas in one week since my work responsibilities change daily. Thanks!
Thank you Vicki!
Such cute ways of business attire!
Thank you 🙂
Super helpful post! This is just what I needed to help me breathe new life into my current “business casual” pieces and pick up some items to update them so I am not stuck in a rut. Getting dressed can be daunting and having a Lookbook like this definitely helps.
So glad you found this helpful, Shanti!
