Happy Monday! I photographed this look a few months ago, but have worn it several times since and was thrilled to see both pieces back in stock! Each of these pieces below can be paired numerous ways and are super affordable to boot.
1. Pebbled Tote
A piece that was incredibly popular with EP readers (see my review of this bag in pink) and sold out very quickly, now back in black and burgundy. I heard from so many of you who picked this up and agreed it’s a fab lightweight work tote on a budget ($35!!). It features a pebbled material, adjustable shoulder straps, gold zipper, and a roomy interior that looks petite-proportioned from the outside! The adjustable straps are nifty, since you may need to expand them in the winter to fit over the arms of thicker puffer coats.
2. Lace Camisole
See my review of the clipdot lace camisole, and also see it featured in my travel outfits styling video. The clipdot version is more summery, with an airy cotton-like feel with small embroidered dots and a lining, while the satiny version looks tres elegant and a little dressier for year round wear (will be getting myself the Terracotta color!). Both of these lace camis have adjustable shoulder straps, and can be styled ranging from dressed down with ripped jeans or elevated with a full skirt.
3. Pleated Skirt
This H&M pleated skirt is also back in the same champagne taupe – I shared about it two weeks ago on Instagram stories, and while that color is rapidly dwindling in stock again, the same skirt also comes in a new “rust brown” that’s actually a beautiful wine color (see photo on me below). This skirt has an elastic banded waist and runs a little small, with an XS being a snug fit at my natural waist. The weight of the fabric of this particular style is a little thicker (unlined) with a slight sheen to it, and is low maintenance and not wrinkle prone. Note this is a midi length skirt and will hit someone petite mid calf (I occasionally fold the waist up once then secure a wide belt over it).
Also on the topic of pleats and H&M, check out this beautiful textured dot maxi dress (fit photo on me) that I tried on featuring adjustable straps, a swishy full skirt, and adjustable shoulder straps. Bodice runs a little small and I could barely clasp up the sz 0 across my chest. And here is another pleated blue & white print dress in a midi length (full length on petites) that was recommended by several readers – check my IG stories today for a photo!
where is the belt from?? looking for more belt recommendations!
Love your style! Can I get the details of your nude flats? They really elongate the legs!
That pleated skirt is beautiful!
Love the gray skirt and white top match. Looks so graceful!
Where did you get your pearl hoop earrings??? I’ve been looking for something like these every where! I want a pair. Thanks!!!
I love your outfit Jean but I LOVE your photos! So beautiful. I am finally on board with the pleated skirt trend and I can’t wait to check out this H&M pair.
Love the pink top you’re wearing with the burgundy skirt. Where is it from?
What lipstick is that?
Hi Jean, where did you get the black/white dress you are wearing while trying the H&M bag in burgundy? Thanks!
Hi
Can you please tell me where the green belt is from?
Love the skirt! Do you think one could size up and wear while pregnant?
Hiya, I own the grey version of this skirt and the band is not very stretchy – I don’t think you could get it over a bump unless it was still very small, so you’d need to be able to get it over your shoulders instead which might be tricky, plus you’d have to wear it a bit higher.
In love with this elegant outfit <3 🙂 Soooo gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing all of these great finds, Jean! You always find the most amazing items!

That is a wonderful skirt! I have a more winter-weight gray, pleated one that I just love to wear with boots and ankle boots but I probably need one for the summer, too. I love the way you’ve styled and accessorized it. That pebble-grained bag is gorgeous – what a find!

You look absolutely stunning in these photos! And how cute is that pleated skirt – I’ll definitely go and check out the rust brown color, because it would look gorgeous in the fall time!
xx Janine
You look so pretty in the maxi pleated dress (i like the length on you more than on the model!). Have not shopped at H&M for a while but the work bag might make me go back. Thank you for your detailed review!!
I just love H&M I’m 72years of age but can always find something I love. Bought all my holiday clothes there this year. So you see even us oldies have a flair for fab fashion.

These pieces sound fantastic, Jean!
I hope you have a fantastic Monday,

This looks fabulous on you! Jean, have you done a post on clothing rentals, such as Nuuk Your?

Love that pleated skirt!
So glad to see the pleated skirt. Always a favorite. The tote is a winner for sure.
Did you end up buying the pleated skirt in the rust colour? It’s lovely
I love the pebbled tote! Such a great buy. And the white camisole you’re wearing, it’s super cute! Thanks for the recommendations, Jean. 🙂
What size in H&M skirt?
That skirt is so beautiful! X
