After finally crossing classic below-the-knee boots off my wishlist with our Edited Pieces boots, I’ve been feeling inspired to try other more fashion-forward tall boots! This style is meant to fit a little looser along the shaft with some slouch, and is typically styled with sweater dresses (including longer midi lengths that cover the top of the boots), fit and flare dresses, pleated skirts, and jeans.

I had first tried on these beautiful Vince Camuto boots and fell in love with the tall and structured look, but the calf was a few inches too wide. These Nine West ones fit slightly slimmer in comparison, which worked out on me for a “looser” look. I hope some of you were able to grab a pair when I first shared them when they were fully stocked!

Being petite, these boots hit me right at the kneecap which would typically be a no-go, but the leather is so soft and pliable they don’t rub uncomfortably at all. The easiest way for me to style these have been with shorter sweater dresses and light colored or white jeans. I do want to note again that they are pull-on style with no side zipper, so may take a little tugging to get off on your own. If you usually need a zipper to get your foot in & out of boots comfortably then this style is probably not for you!
