Petite-friendly athleisure // Zella joggers + ribbed pullover

Second only to combat boots, petite-friendly joggers have been one of the most searched for pieces by you guys in 2020 (and no surprise, for a year like this one)! A good pair of joggers have all the comforts of sweatpants but in a more flattering, tapered cut for leaving the house in, and the banded bottoms mean no dragging hems on the floor. I’ve shown the same joggers here with both house slippers and sneakers, and love how easily they can transition from couch comfies to mom on-the-go.

I actually first ordered these Zella soft pocket joggers for my mom this summer (see below for a photo on her), but didn’t try them on as I was very pregnant at the time. I finally slipped into them recently and must say, they’re quite petite-friendly and a good lower-priced option if you’ve been eying lululemon’s popular Align joggers. These have a soft and stretchy fabric with a smooth finish (non-pilling prone), and a looser fit in the rear and thighs than the Align but still slim cut overall. The Zellas have a drawstring waist while the Align have a banded waist like on leggings. For fit reference, I’m 5′ tall and my mom is 5’2″ – this length works on us both and will suit someone taller too, for a more cropped fit as shown in the stock photos.

I also wanted to share this Zella funnel neck pullover below, which is the more affordable kids version of their highly rated womens pullover that’s nearly sold out! It has a casual chic cut with dolman sleeves and ribbed texture (it’s a thicker “corduroy-inspired” rib, not a drapey knit), and is currently fully stocked in white, grey & navy. I can typically wear either a L or XL in Zella kids, but for the cut of this top I liked the XL better.

This is such a great casual look! I bought the joggers (the black sweater is still en route) and have worn them three days in a row now because they’re that good. I’m loving all your casual posts and hope you’ll keep them up while we’re all at home ☺️

Soo happy to hear that, Janet! Strangely enough, something as simple as good petite-friendly joggers have been hard to find so I’m glad you agree these are keepers!

I love when you have your mom on your posts. She’s the cutest and looks more like your sister than your mom 😉
