Just a quick post from me today, as Nick and I are out exploring northern CA with our good friends! Follow along on my Insta stories, and I’ll definitely be blogging about where we’re staying and some of our favorite stops. This is a layered, mostly monochromatic look from chilly Boston before we headed off to enjoy milder weather. Almost all of the pieces here are old closet favorites of mine, and are still available for sale!
This trench has dolman-style sleeves, which I like for a slouchy-casual look different from my usual tailored and fitted pieces. See my original review along with several outfit ideas showing this jacket styled across the seasons. The actual color is a grayish blue, closer to how it looks in the images above vs. the one right below.
My Stuart Weitzman boots in “Londra” are from last year and definitely one of the most-worn pairs in my closet due to the flat, walking-friendly sole and close fit throughout the leg. I’ve been debating between the new dark chestnut brown color or the medium nutmeg brown (color only sold here) for a new addition! See my original review here on the Lowlands and also a comparison post between these and the popular Highlands. Note that SW flat boots tend to run a little big in the foot area – I’m usually between 5 and 5.5 in most shoe brands, and have plenty of room for socks with a size 5 in these.
I ordered the same Textured Belted Trench at Chicwish after reading your post and seeing it on you. However when it arrived, one belt loop was missing! I just emailed Chicwish and am just waiting for their reply. Right now, one side of the belt just falls to the ground 🙁

Thank you, Joyce! I'm still experimenting with a lot of different products, and will definitely post when I'm sure about some that I love!
Oh fun! Thank you for letting me know!

Such a cozy looking outfit! Love how the different shades of gray add so much dimension to the outfit too, instead of looking flat and dully monochrome!
That trench and boot combo is absolutely perfect!

Hi Jean, how do you wash your sweaters? Do you get them dry cleaned?
