Best Holiday Weekend Sales (check back for updates!)

jcrew factory trench

J.Crew Factory cotton trench coat (starts in regular or petite 00, 50% + extra 20% off)

Thank you all so much for your kind words on my last post & FB and IG…we read through them together and appreciate each and every comment. We can’t wait to get some more photos back to share! In the meantime, holiday weekend sales are rolling in so I’ll be updating here with the best ones. **Most of these sales end Sunday night, July 5th**

BHLDN – (sale still active Monday!) a very rare free shipping with code ships4free. I was heavily inspired by their items for my wedding but they also have plenty of pretty pieces for non-wedding. They just listed lots of new markdowns from dresses, to accessories and home decor. I’ve posted before about their gorgeous Raquel dress (on sale) which fit me in sz 0 with just a hem, and if you’re looking for “something blue,” these knotted pumps are so romantic with a moderate 3.5″ heel.

Ann Taylor – Sunday only for U.S. shoppers, take 50% off everything with CELEBRATE50. See my recent posts on several classic pieces that fit without alterations.

Talbots – extra 40% off clearance (prices as marked), or extra 50% off if you buy 2 or more items (extra discount reflected in cart). You guys know I love Talbots shoes – they start in size 5 (runs a tad small in my experience), the materials are good quality, and they hold up well with wear. My beloved Peggy sandals only have size 6.5+ left, but here’s a few others with good reviews starting in size 5, with tons of neutral options as well as bright colors (especially those leather loafers!):

J.Crew Factory – 50% off site-wide, plus you can get an extra 20% off with code HOTSALE. I’d recommend their classic chambray shirts (size xxs petite fits me without alterations), as well as their staple gingham or other petite button-ups which should fit pretty similarly.

Their petite cotton trench coat (pictured above) is also back in stock – I haven’t tried it personally but it has a few good reviews. And if you can wear regular sizing, this floral dress looks gorgeous with good reviews as well (a steal for under $50). Look out for the “final sale” markings on items.travel casual outfit

reposted from this older review

Also, one of my favorite casual sandals are 50% off – I wear these for travel, the beach, errands, commuting, you name it, and like how they jazz up the plainest of outfits. Mine are from Sole Society but Nordstrom currently has more sizes in stock at the same sale price, with free shipping & return shipping. And if you’re browsing Nordstrom, here’s a few sale updates on my outfit from this post – the shirt is now 40% off (limited petite sizing left) and the summer crochet shorts (fits small) are fully in stock at 40% off. I have them packed for the 4th and would highly recommend!

I think it was just large overall – shoulders, arms, waist, etc… my mom who is usually a 2-4 could wear it :-/ (though it was overly fitted, she probably would have gone for a 0)

Correction, I just dug into my receipts and the shirt I got from J.Crew Factory in my IG is actually a different one with color code "afternoon sky" (updated my link). Sorry for the confusion! The darker one with color code "blue chambray" still looks very comparable to my dark Target one, which you can see styled here a few ways, as an example https://www.extrapetite.com/2015/03/video-how-to-style-blanket-oversized.html

Thanks for sharing your experience! Would you say it ran one or two sizes big and in what areas?

Hi there, I just posted a picture of the actual shirt on my IG. I think both light and dark are versatile for different purposes and color schemes! I do wear my light one from halogen a lot in the summer, but this factory one is close in color to my old target dark chambray shirt which I wore to pieces, so I don't think versatility is an issue : )

So glad you're back, Jean! I've been missing your posts. Happy wedding! I wanted to ask about the J. Crew Factory chambray shirt you're recommending. I went back and looked at your prior posts with chambray shirts and almost all of them seem to be the lighter color – not this dark gray/blue color that you've linked to here. Do you find this color to be as versatile as the light blue that wear frequently under sweaters, over dresses, etc? Thanks.
