Notable Weekend Sales

cybex gazelle S double stroller levis wedgie tapered jeans petite

I hope you guys are having a wonderful holiday weekend! My family is visiting for the first time since pre pandemic (finally getting to meet Rio!) and it’s the best feeling. Nori was very bashful in the beginning since it’s been so long, but was soon squawking with laughter and monkeying around with her little uncle. I only wish we lived closer to family, especially now with little ones and seeing their bond.

If you’re shopping for something in particular, I wanted to share a few notable sales this weekend that caught my eye!

Levis
Their best sale I’ve seen! I absolutely love these wedgie jeans (TTS) as a slim alternative to skinny jeans, and simply cut the hems with scissors to my ideal ankle length. If you’re unfamiliar with Levi’s wedgie jeans, note they are a traditional non stretch denim, and “shut up” is the perfect medium blue vintage-y wash. I would advise sticking to your usual size even though these are non stretch because they do break in a bit and the waist loosened up a tad to be more comfy for me. I don’t find them to feel restraining for prolonged wear but I know some might. Shop their entire end of season sale here!

Hi Kelly, thank you for your sweet note and for following along over the years! Aside from getting the jeans professionally taken in, try googling the tiktock hack to make the waist of jeans fit smaller with a shoelace or pair of string!

Hi, any tips on how to find the right length and cut jeans. I’m around 5’1 and have never done this before. Would love any advice on finding the right length.

Hi Kate, personally I like for hems to end a little above the ankle, you can try folding them up first and trying on the folded up jeans with different shoes to make sure you like the length before cutting!

Hi Jean! I bought the Levi’s Wedgie after your recommendation and I love them but they’re loose on my waist and legs. I got my usual size- I was wondering if you taper the legs to give you a better fit

Hi Jean! No I did not taper mine – if they’re loose on the waist you may need to size down

Hi Jean. I really enjoy your blog. I love your sense of stylle and your outfit and sales reviews. I have bought and been happy with the recommendations I have purchased from your blog. I am 4’10” so really appreciate your take on what works for your 5 foot frame.
So disappointing that petite departments have disappeared.

Do you know the difference between the old version versus the 2021 version besides the additional spaghetti strap option? There is also slight price difference, but other than that the 2021 version just says it has an “improved design”, though I can’t find the difference.
