A WFH Staple: Elevated Sweater Pants Set

These sweater pants (5 colors) first caught my eye last year but sold out so quickly in petites! They finally got restocked recently in 3 colors … and oh my, they are good and worth the wait. I’ve hardly taken them off all week except to wash, and even Nick has expressed sweater pant envy! They’re comfy enough to sleep in, can be paired with a cami + blazer for zoom meetings, and make me feel polished even when running errands. For customer reviews, check out the black & grey item page.

Update: BR friends & family is going on with 50% off site-wide! Below are a few additional sale picks including their flattering mini wedge mules in 3 neutral colors (click here for the mules if you’re based in Canada):

BR mini wedge mules 5.5 (3 colors; 50% off), Everlane jeans 24 (hems cut; very similar petite friendly option! see on me) + oversized sweater xxs

The knit on the sweater joggers is a warm, sturdy weight but still has some drape to it (composed 50% of their sustainable Lenzing Ecovero blend) and I love the pockets and stretchy wide waistband. They’re tapered in fit but not the most slim cut, which I’ll try to show in a video on Instagram stories. These pants are also seriously versatile – I’ll have to do another post soon with a bunch of pairing ideas as we transition into spring weather!

When I purchased, there were no coordinating tops in my size so I was thrilled to see two new options added if you want a full petite jogger set! There’s now a coordinating sweater hoodie with kangaroo pocket and knit bomber jacket, both with no reviews under petites but lots of rave reviews under the Regular sizing tab. The sweater hoodie is right up my alley for layering so I ordered that right away, and am curious about the sweater bomber jacket!

For anyone who also owns this Amazon sweater (reviewed in this post; also styled here and here) it’s a semi-close match and I’ve been wearing it quite a bit together. It’s definitely not the same color, but both are beige-toned neutrals and it works for me while at home!

Everlane tee xs (I also have the pocket-less one in a few colors), Everlane sneakers 5 (my review)

Simply top this with a white denim jacket or draped trench for a transitional spring outfit! These are my favorite cushy leather sneakers and a staple tee shirt in my wardrobe that’s not paper thin or sheer (of course, I still wear skin-toned undergarments with anything white). While I’m wearing the pocketed tee here, I reach for the non pocketed more for an overall clean look. The length of their “box cut” style tees are cropped in style, so works nicely on someone shorter and I size up for a slouchier fit. True to the style name, they are a boxier cut which I personally like for half tucking

Another pair of sweater pants I’ve been hemming and hawing over are these Quince cashmere joggers with several different coordinating sweater options. I hadn’t taken the plunge as they seem like they’d be too long on someone my height (5 feet tall), but if anyone owns this pair, let me know how it fits!

Yes! The fit, comfort and versatility are the reasons I’ve had these on heavy rotation since I got them 🙂

Jean, do these bag at the knees after wearing for a bit? I have cashmere leggings that are so cozy, but the knees bag after a few hours and look really sloppy. Thanks for any info!

Hi Molly! They do bag a little bit – I took these photos after wearing 3 days in total and thought it wasn’t bad. I believe any sweater knit pant would bag a little at the knees after wear. However when I wash and lay these flat to dry it reshapes itself.

    I love this!

I just purchased the slouchy Amazon sweater and noticed it has some cashmere in it. How do you wash it?

Based on the price point, if it has any cashmere I believe it’s a very very small bit. Regardless I wash all my sweaters the same way – inside out in a mesh garment bag on the delicates cycle in cold water, and never machine dry if possible!
