I finally maneuvered my winter boots bin out of seasonal storage, and it felt a bit like Christmas being reunited with old gems I hadn’t seen in a while! The shearling hiker boot trend is still going strong from before, and as a busy mama I appreciate any trend that’s chic yet warm, practical and functional. The color I have in these Marc Fisher Izzie boots is old, but I love all the classic neutral ones currently available. See how else I’ve styled these boots here and here!

I also wanted to share a few similar budget-friendly finds, some on major sale right now!
1. J.Crew Nordic Boots
Price: 45% off with code FAMILY – sale $109 (retail $198)
Sizes: 5 – 12
A J.Crew classic that comes back year after year. On sale, this is a VERY good price for genuine leather boots that are generously lined in a warm shearling, and I love that they come with 2 shoelace color options. Finally ordered these after contemplating them for a few years!
2. Marc Fisher Suede & Shearling Boots
Price: $149 (retail $249)
Sizes: 5 – 11. I usually go up half a size with MF boots especially if you plan on wearing thick socks.
For Marc Fisher fans, these are a great price for a real leather or suede style similar to their popular Izzie, but with a slightly lower shaft height.

As mentioned in past posts, these textured waffle cashmere sweaters are some of my ultimate cold weather staples. They’re back this season in an updated, more slouchy cut as pictured here, and the same beautiful, versatile taupe color (“heathered sand”) that I was obsessed with last year! Once the weather gets frigid in Boston, my go-to combo is a Uniqlo heattech thermal tee under one these cashmere sweaters, plus a winter coat layered on top. I can’t find any look-for-less options for this sweater in a waffle texture, but J.Crew has a very soft turtleneck sweater on sale in “heather mushroom” with a slightly slouchier, longer length similar to this one (I wear regular XS in the J.Crew one).
