Winter Navy + Cream // Chain Print Wrap Dress

ann taylor petite work outfit wrap dress

Wrap dress 00P on sale!, tassel necklace, scallop pumps sz 5 (also in black), coat xxsp – outfit items c/o Ann Taylor and on on sale!

Wrap dresses are an iconic piece for good reason – they make effortless one-and-done outfits, the tie waist style is adjustable and flattering, and they happen to be nursing friendly! Ann Taylor makes their jersey wrap dress in several colors & prints, with two of my favorites right now being their mini cheetah and navy chain link. Both of these prints are smaller in scale and subtle enough for an office, plus they each pair easily with either black or navy tights in the frigid winter.

I paired this look with winter white, but I also love a good blue & green combo, and could see this worn with the pine green wrap coat that I reviewed in this post!

Fit wise, I took my usual size in Ann Taylor and it’s a slim fit throughout (including along the sleeves) with a good amount of stretch in the matte jersey knit fabric. Length hits at the middle of my kneecap. I would just suggest wearing a similar-colored camisole underneath for extra neckline coverage at an office!

Lovely Jean! I most often wear flats now to work and curious how you would style with this dress. Are flats and tights okay to pair? Thank you!

Hi Amy, yes absolutely! I do flats often with tights – either black or navy ones would work perfectly here.

I love to wear dresses in winter too, using tights and cardigans to winterise them (I love that word). Love what the necklace does for the look. Wishing you a wonderful winter weekend! Love, Lieske

I agree, Jean – wrap dresses are the best! It’s kinda weird because I love them but barely have any myself because it’s so hard to find a dress that fits properly. I love yours, will check it out! 🙂 ❤️
