Just a quick post today in this back-to-basics outfit! I love the easygoing look of chambray paired with white denim – you can dress the outfit up with a longer blazer, or make it a little sultry with a knot at the waist and unbuttoned more at the neckline.
Good news, this Boohoo Sinead wrap was just re-stocked in all petite sizes! Mine’s the “mocha” color and I’m wearing a US 0P / UK 4P without alterations. Please see my prior review on quality & sizing, and some of the different ways I’ve styled it since. And oh, my studded pumps here from years ago are also fully re-stocked in the “adobe” neutral color. Although I own the Valentino version too (which actually are comfy for the height, unlike some designer shoes…Louboutins, I’m looking at you), I still choose these often because I can stay on my feet nearly all day in the kitten heels. Even with the low height, they are still super flattering on bare legs (see my outfits in them). The front pointed part runs narrow, so if you’re between sizes I’d suggest going up half.
I’ve machine-washed this wrap twice now (always avoiding the machine dryer) and it thankfully hasn’t gotten too pilly – my original fear for something at this low price point. As mentioned in my review it has very little construction to it, so if you want something in better quality materials and fully lined, etc, check out this Chicwish waterfall trench or LOFT’s new drapey trench both in gray color schemes. Some differences at first glance between those – the Chicwish one (see it on me) has a sloping, non-defined shoulder line and I did have to get the sleeves shortened on the XS. I haven’t tried on LOFT’s, but it looks a little more structured and comes in petite sizing so shouldn’t need alterations.
PS – If you haven’t checked out Shopbop’s big sale yet, here are my petite-friendly suggestions from an earlier post! My order should be arriving soon, so hopefully I can do an update on the items that work out before the promo ends Saturday.
Hello. I'm new to your blog. Have to say. I love your style!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Question for you on the chambray shirt. What size did you get to obtain that nice look. I'm 5"2 105lb. I got xsp and it look very boxy in me. I tried to unbutton shirt just remain straight in the middle skin and neckline all covered.
Hi Jean!
As spring and summer approach I have been contemplating if shorts for moms is a fashion do or don't. I'm 32, 4'11 and 99 pounds with a 1 and 2 year old. I'm just not sure if it's appropriate to wear shorts anymore 🙁
I know you are not a mom, but figured you or others that follow you could still weigh in.
Thanks!
Love your jacket! So happy that spring is here!

I love that wrap jacket so much! Need to find a non-petite version for myself.
I agree with anonymous above that the waist-tie method is a great way to keep from having too much material tucked away with a thicker fabric like chambray.
By the way, I'm hosting a weekly favorites blogger link up on my blog today. I'd love for you to come share your favorite post of the week!

Do you have any tips for keeping the shirt ends tied? I have tried that a few times but after a while the knot always comes undone.
I love how you tied the chambray. I hate too much material tucked in and this is a clever way to deal with it.
Ooh I'm loving this color combo!! Great inspo!
