San Diego: Wedding at Stone Brewery

Hello from the sunny West coast! We had a blast at the wedding of Mike & Kelly, whom we initially met through blogging and have gotten to know well over several years. As a craft beer enthusiast, Nick’s eyes were as wide as saucers when he found out their venue was Stone brewery (and again when there was open bar prior to the ceremony). Watching an already sweet union was made even better with a glass of beer or wine in hand!

I didn’t pack much for my work travels, but can always rely on my thoughtful friend Wendy to come with a suitcase of fabulous options in tow. It was a tough choice between this flirty lace flounce dress and this Malene Birger tweed number (old style) that I’ve lusted after for years! The lace won out, and given the 6+ hour duration of the wedding, I opted for these comfy low-heeled pumps yet again. I pack these when I don’t have an outfit fully planned out yet since the color will end up going with everything.

And the happy newlyweds with their traditional Thai flower garlands. Congrats again Kelly and Mike – wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!

On the note of fellow bloggers, I loved getting to meet sweet Tam and her husband earlier this month! It’s always fun recognizing favorite pieces like this LOFT tweed sweater jacket from last year.

ASOS petite coat, Banana Republic pants (shrunk in dryer for ~10 minutes), LOFT blouse

And lastly, a snapshot from a quick meeting in beautiful Seattle. PS – this ASOS petite coat is back in stock in all sizes! You can see I wear it quite often, since it transitions well from professional to casual outfits. If interested, please see more photos and my commentary in this older post. The size 00 petite is very slim and fit without alterations, but size up if you want to wear thick layers underneath. The weight is also light for a coat, so best suited for fall or milder winter days.

I really enjoyed your article!! I want to give my inputs about some Chicago Wedding Venues. I found these venues when I was searching for my friend’s wedding. These venues are awesome and I will reserve one of them for my wedding.
