Snapshots: J.Crew Icon Trench Coat in Wool-Cashmere

J.Crew Icon Trench in Wool-Cashmere (wearing 0 petite), now $182 after discounts

J.Crew is having 30% off everything again and free ship over $100 with code SNOWMAN. I found these old photos of a camel coat I tried on & returned a while back. A review is probably not necessary now that most sizes are sold out, but in a nutshell – this coat was soft and a good weight, but the sizing was too generous on me and felt like a bathrobe. 0P was the smallest size, and I made the mistake of ordering it before I saw the Stadium Cloth Boulevard Trench in 00P. That one out of sizes lightning fast, especially in the camel color. I guess a new coat just wasn’t meant to be for me this year!

Tip: It does pay to check J.Crew’s website early in the morning (East coast time), as the inventory refreshes overnight and sizes may pop back into stock due to returned merchandise.

Very pretty, but looks a bit too long…

Beautiful coat! I just posted yesterday about my camel coat although yours looks like it fits a bit better. Petite bloggers think alike!

That shade of camel suits your skin coloring so well. Too bad about the fit.

Woow very nice coat classical and elegant. We french are nox allox-wed to orderede J Crew but…. it seems that they (I Crew) think we are richer than everybody else.
    The prices are Huge….
For example this coat (The Icon one) was 330 or so $, now reduced. Well same price in euros although it should actually be much less. What is that? I really do not appreciate (as a lot of other french customers, bloggers are fast as you know) the customer and marketing policy, this is not fair at all. If in Europe we have to pay full price and same prices that in the Us PLUS shipping cost, this is a No to order.

That trench is fabulous on you, the shape of it is awesome.

    What shoes are you wearing?

  • Reply PetiteAsianGirl December 18, 2011 at 3:38 pm

@MiniMadness They are suede ankle booties by Adrienne Vittadini.

@eveange66That's a shame they charge so much for Euro shoppers. Our Canadian neighbors are complaining about J.Crew prices and taxes as well.

@Lucia Hi Lucia! Does it already come with the crystal decoration? If so, this dress needs very little styling in my opinion : ) Try wearing your hair pulled back or swept up high, add some earrings, possibly a cuff bracelet, and a clutch.

    Very cute!
Everything I wanted from J. Crew only came in a large or extra large. So annoying!

you look lovely! this has become my favourite side now and I check it daily! So refreshing to come across someone with taste and REAL life fashion tips! thank you and let us know when petite coats are back in the shops please. Of all the things to buy, I find petite coats the hardest to find in flattering shapes.
