Recently as I was cleaning out my closet, I was happy to re-discover a few old favorites like these chino pants and shorts! I’ve also been getting so much wear out of this blazer find, and hope that those of you who snagged it love it just as much. Below are a few simple looks I’ve worn mixing and matching these pieces for a range of occasions. I’ve never done a capsule wardrobe per se, but each of these items are near the top of my list for the most versatile neutral staples! Scroll to the bottom of this post for a fun video of each look.
1. Neutral Staple: Relaxed Blazer
This longer, more relaxed style has been my go-to this year and was also featured in my post on business casual pairings! My exact blazer is from Eileen Fisher earlier – see my review here, but as a reminder it is a looser fit and in a knit ponte-like material and unlined. As another option, this ASOS blazer is a very similar style and comes in petite sizing in both black and camel!
2. Neutral Staple: Chino Shorts
I got these Everlane shorts a few years ago but found similar options here and here! I like them as a casual alternative to denim shorts that looks just a little more put-together. The length also feels age appropriate for me and elongating on the legs without being too short.
3. Neutral Staple: Square Neck Tank
The exact one I have on is older from Ann Taylor, but I’ve been loving this one from Reformation. This is a really simple piece, but I’ve been loving the modern square neckline compared to my regular scoop or V neck tops. I usually tuck it in and it pairs easily with just about everything from high rise jeans to wide legged pants or flowy skirts.

What color is your square neck tank? Is it an off-white/ivory? I am obsessed with your neutral outfits and would love to replicate them. You have an amazing wardrobe and style!
