A few weeks ago I blogged some swimsuits that work for my current figure with a little belly, and it seems I’m definitely not alone in that search as it was one of my most viewed posts all year! I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for more cute swimsuits that are flattering around the tummy area, and wanted to share a few affordable Amazon finds I tried.
1. Scalloped One piece
5+ colors & patterns, Sizes XS – XL
A very flattering, petite-friendly option! Most of the negative reviews are due to the torso running a little short, which is positive news for petite ladies. I found it to fit TTS and want to highlight that sizing actually starts in XS, since the majority of options on Amazon start only in S and up. This has removable cups, adjustable shoulder straps, plus a tie in the back to adjust for a good fit around the torso. The scalloped edges feel a tad flimsy, but the overall suit seems great quality for the price.
This crochet-waist coverup also comes in black, which would look very chic paired with a black swimsuit!
2. Lemon + Striped Bikini
I fell in love with this fun mix of prints! I really wish this one were available in XS. It starts in Small and seems TTS, so unfortunately would be loose on someone XXS/XS. The shoulder straps are adjustable and bust pads are removable. The bottom has a long attached sash which I tied in the back, but could also be tied in a bow at the front, as shown in the stock photo. I purchased mine through Amazon where it’s no longer available, but I found the same suit at Chicwish.
3. High Waisted Wrap Tie bikini
5+ colors & patterns, Starts in size 4 (Small)
A simple but chic, postpartum-friendly bikini! The bottoms have ruched sides in the front which a comfortable high rise that covers my belly button. The wrap tie on the top adds just a little something to elevate a standard black bikini.
Fit wise, the smallest size is a US 4 – 6 (and feels like a TTS size Small), so again this would unfortunately be big on someone who typically wears an XXS/XS and usually orders the same size as me. It may look like it fits me in photos, but I wouldn’t be able to jump out of a pool or go into ocean waves without fear that the bottoms would get swept off, hah! But I wanted to share anyways for those who fit a S. Note the cups are sewn in on this, and the shoulder straps are adjustable.
3. Flowy Kimono Coverup
5+ colors & patterns, Sizes S – XXL
This flowy piece is depicted as a midi length cover up, and can also work on petite ladies as a maxi length one. You can wear this open kimono-style as shown in the first photo above, or tie it shut around the waist like below. The semi sheer material is very lightweight, and the cut is definitely loose in fit (which I didn’t mind, as I’d typically wear it open like a kimono).
Your style is so timeless! Thank you for sharing these affordable options. I feel like you read my mind with the bottom coverage!
