Hello friends – popping in to share three great sales if you’re in the mood to shop. Nordstrom has been releasing a new promo at noon every few days … and they have been unprecedentedly good. I caught this shoe sale a little late (it ends 4/21 at 9AM EST) but am staying tuned for the next one to be announced tomorrow at noon!
Also if you’ve been considering a Le Creuset dutch oven pot (which is in the majority of our cooking posts), it’s a rare 20% off, and I’ve shared some cleaning tips and sizing info below!
1. 20% off Le Creuset Dutch Ovens
Save with a rare 20% off some of our most-used cookware. These dutch oven pots are so versatile and durable whether it’s for braising, cooking soups/stews/congees, roasting in the oven, or making bread – just to name a few!
I’ve seen several friends use Le Creuset pots that have been passed down from generations, so if you take care of these, they should last a lifetime.
Sizing – I get a lot of questions on ours and the sizing. For a household of two people, the 3.5 quart has been a good smaller size, but if we’re making soup and want extra for leftovers or to freeze, I’ll always use the larger 5.5 quart size. If you have a family of 4 or more people and usually like a little left over, then I might have to suggest going even larger to the 7.25 quart. These are not light, so expect to get an arm workout when washing or taking them out of the oven!
Cleaning – on IG you guys suggested letting your pot soak in a little baking soda or vinegar, or to use a cleaning agent called Bar Keeper Friends (which several of you swear by for your pots and farmhouse sinks) to help get these pots good as new!
- William Sonoma – biggest selection of Le Creuset on sale in terms of sizes, colors, and shapes. We got ours here!
- Crate & Barrel – they have an exclusive graphite gray with gold Le Creuset that’s just lovely. You can also modify any color pot to have a gold handle by purchasing the gold knobs separately (I believe I have a medium sized gold knob on my older white dutch oven).
2. 20% off Elemis Skincare
Full size Elemis skincare products are currently 20% off with code RSMD20 (some exclusions apply.) Their cleansing balm is incredible – all of my friends I’ve introduced it to have been very happy and want to try more from the brand. I use it regularly with my washable makeup remover pads and it leaves my skin feeling so clean, soft, and not dried out.
I also love the feel & finish of their marine oil, but it’s a little pricey for how quickly I used it up. I’ll be trying their superfood oil next!
3. 60% off Shoes at Nordstrom
This sale is especially notable as these are not old clearance styles that have gotten marked down over time – many of these are newer or “core” styles (that are brought back year after year)! Sale ends soon though on 4/21. A few picks:
MENS: Incredible selection, with lots of classic Cole Haan & Sperry styles at up to 60% off. A great every day Men’s shoe option are the Cole Haan leather sneakers.
Sam Edelman woven flat mules – 55% off. I have an old pair of woven mules and they were my go-to throughout warmer weather days and vacations, when I wanted flats!
Mark Fisher Zala pump – 25% off (see here & here). Was so shocked to see these at this price! I got mine years ago and these have been a core Mark Fisher style where the classic colors like nude, black, and navy are usually not discounted. I love the flattering toe shape and sculpted mid height block heels. Note these run a little narrow at the toes so if you’re between half sizes I’d do the larger half.
Jeffrey Campbell rain boots – 25% off. An edgier version of my black Tinsley chelsea rain boots. These are quite popular as well so I was pretty surprised to see them as part of the sale.
