With wedding season around the corner, I’ve been getting a lot of requests for white outfits for bridal activities! I’m actually a big fan of white for regular wear (gotta take advantage before Nori becomes a sticky-fingered, crayon-wielding toddler ; ) since I love the crisp and fresh look. I wanted to share this flattering dress, and will be reviewing a chic white jumpsuit next week!
French Connection Whisper Dress (3 colors)
First up is this little number from French Connection’s whisper collection, which features clean lines and tends to run a little small. This looks pretty simple on the hanger, but comes to life once it’s on and is a definite “feel good” piece. It fit me surprisingly well, creating an hourglass silhouette while accentuating just the right places. The dress is nice quality in a medium weight material (with slight stretch), adjustable straps, and a full lining. Size 0 measures 15″ across the underarms, 12″ across the waist, and 16″ across the hips.
Gibson Knit Blazer (5 colors)
This is actually one of my favorite new additions this year (will show better photos of it soon!). It’s made of a medium to thicker weight, structured yet very comfortable and stretchy knit, almost like a sweatshirt material. This makes it versatile enough to go from workwear to super casual looks, and looks great over slim ankle pants or paired simply with jeans and a tee! The lapel-less notched collar is flattering, and the blazer is fully lined in fun prints (pink has a blue striped lining, while white has a black dotted lining) with pockets. My usual size fits me perfectly, and I especially appreciate that the sleeves are slim-fit!
Tasha headband
Stylish pieces that are functional are a win-win for me. My exact headband just sold out, but here’s a few other options that I either tried on or own: 1) Tasha waves headband features a narrower width and flattering scalloped sides, 2) Cara velvet headband feels luxe and has”teeth” on the inner band to keep it from sliding (plus black against dark hair is always a safe color to try), and Cara pleated knot headband is feminine and flattering (see it on me in pink).
I’m also partnering with Nordstrom today to share about some of their services and benefits that new customers might not know about! Here’s a few of the ones I use the most:
- Free shipping & return shipping on all orders. Such a time and $ saver for those who struggle with fit! Also, the free return shipping label is actually included inside the original package, unlike the majority of retailers that have you log online, request a return, and then print out a return label (usually with a fee).
- “BOPUS” or Buy Online, Pick Up in Store. For last-minute gifts or outfit needs, you can order something online and have it ready for pickup within two hours if it’s in stock. Most locations also do free curbside pickup for BOPUS, where someone brings the order right out to your car (especially helpful with a sleeping baby in the backseat) .
- Alterations services. Nordstrom stores offer a full range of alteration services by their in-house tailors, for any items – not just ones that were purchased at a Nordstrom.
Thank you Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
I bought this dress to wear to my law school graduation. If you have any ideas on how it would be best to accessorize it, I would love to have your advice!
Not related to this particular post but if you ever decide to sell your Uniqueen Malong tweed jacket, please let me know 🙂 Great posts!
Beautiful dress, beautiful blazer, beautiful hair and even more beautiful lady! You look amazing. XX

Beautiful dress!!!
What a beautiful dress! I decided to step out of my comfort zone and grab the white blazer, which arrived today, and the beautiful (and affordable) Uniqlo white lace skirt from your post a while back. The white cami is expected this weekend–so much fun!
Hi Jean!
I get an error when I tried to send you a message via “Advertise.” Is that form down by chance? Thanks!
Hi Cara! I just had it tested recently and it works! Maybe try again from a different browser? Sorry for the trouble!
Jean is right, it does work but there is a character limit. If your message is too long, an error will appear. Just shorten it. Don’t ask me why I know. 😝
I am seriously loving all your headbands. So cute! Also, love your white dress.

Hi Natasja! A couple other stores also sell French connection and this dress! I’m going to look around for the best price and stock and share it in my next post.

Absolutely in love with this elegant dress <3 🙂 You're always so chic, Jean!
That’s such a beautiful dress. X
I love this outfit so much! I agree, there is something so crisp and fresh about an all-white outfit and it leaves room to play with pops of color and patterns in accessories!
That headband gives the perfect little touch to the look!

Always appreciative of your suggestions, Jean! Love the white blazer – I don’t have a knitted one so it would make a nice addition to my wardrobe. And that little white dress is the cutest! 🙂 ❤️

Breathtaking outfit. The white dress is FANTASTIC. I love everything about it, the length, the cut, clean lines and the most important style. Very feminine and elegant look.
