Barefoot Dreams circle cardigan

I loved reading through all your comments in my Nordstrom Sale reviews post! It gave me a better idea of what types of pieces you guys are interested in (comfy athleisure and work-appropriate items for the win), and I’ll definitely be sharing more reviews on those fronts. If you had left a question about something, I’m having some technical difficulties responding on my last post, so please just let me know again below!

Amongst your comments, one of the most mentioned pieces by far was the Barefoot Dreams cardigan. This brand has an avid following for their oh-so-cozy plush cardigans that “feel like you’re wearing a hug,” in the words of a reader! Their materials are more casual like loungewear, but you can dress it up a bit with jeans and a pretty cami.

For our flight last weekend, I swapped in my trusty Zella live-in leggings and flat loafers, and got the workout of my life sprinting like a madwoman through the Amsterdam airport (the terminal transfer line there is no joke!). Another thing I love about the live-in leggings is that the knees do not stretch out on me, even after a long day of sitting. So many of my other, older leggings have baggy pouches around that area – never again!

Barefoot Dreams cardigans especially make a great gift for busy moms or expecting moms – my friends in those categories basically live in them, plus the Bobeau fleece wrap (last styled on me here). Fit wise, however, many of BD’s styles are oversized and and unfortunately don’t come in petite sizing like Bobeau does. Their cozy chic circle cardigan included in the sale is the only style I’ve tried that wasn’t overwhelming, although some petite ladies may still find this to be too long in size XS/S (note I have the sleeves cuffed up).

A quick note about this satiny cami – it’s a simple but elegant top that’s good for layering. I have another outfit coming showing how I’ve styled this differently in a more refined look. The cream is a little sheer (so wear a nude bra or pasties under), but the other colors don’t have an issue. The straps are adjustable which I always appreciate, and it’s actually machine-washable but I would handwash to prolong the life of the lace trim. I hope some of you were able to grab it after my Instagram post, before sizes dwindled down!

In the pictures of you showing the Stuart Weitzman OTK boots, where did you get the beautiful white and black summer dress?

Love all your picks. Where is your cami from?

Yay! Don't be scared though by how long they are off the rack. They are LONG. But a hem job should be $10 or less for a basic like leggings and it's worth it to have ones at a perfect length.

Hi Diana – I can usually do some hemming by myself, but when it comes to knits and a fabric like leggings, I leave it to my tailor. It was a very simple alteration for them (under $10) using the proper type of needle and stitch, so hopefully it won't be too bad if you take yours to a local tailor!

Hi there! It's actually a mens bag by Filson that I borrowed from my husband. It's spacious and well made, but after I load it up it's quite heavy for my shoulders. I've heard a lot about the Lo & Sons one and will have to check it out in person!

Hi Sarah! So since I often wear camis like this under a cardigan or jacket, I actually don't worry about bra straps because they'd be concealed anyways. Otherwise, I'm a big fan of the Bristol 6 nippies pads that I always write about. You just stick them on and barely feel a thing.

Hi there – thank you for your comment and I'm sorry for the delay! Actually it's a pretty normal lace trim that isn't fuzzy. The cami overall feels cool to the touch and very lightweight which I love. I can't believe how quickly they sold out, though : / I have seen some similar options at H&M; for a similar price point, if you're interested.

Thanks, Samantha! I knew Barefoot Dreams had a big fan base but I certainly didn't realize just how devoted they were. Those cardigans got snapped up FAST!

Hi Tina! Thank you for your sweet comment! The only jeans I picked up for myself from the sale (because I have no shortage of jeans) is the AG raw hem jeans that I blogged in my last post. However, my cousin got them too in the same exact size and I was disappointed to try hers on and find a big waist gap! So there must be some inconsistency. Aside from that, the only other pair of jeans from the sale that I tried on and would highly recommend were the DL1961 jeans in olive (go down one size) which I posted in my most recent Nordstrom post.

Hi Lori! Thank you for your kind comment! Sorry for any confusion, but we were just passing through Amsterdam and connecting at the airport en route to France. I would LOVE to go back some time and actually explore the city! Hope you have a blast on your trip!

Hi Ariadne! I'm a huge R&B; fan so was on the lookout for those jeans! I think I found them in-store but didn't even try them on because they looked pretty big and the coloring wasn't as dark as I expected. Thinking back though I could've come across the wrong pair in my frenzy shopping the sale, lol! So if you do try those on please keep me posted on how you like them!

Hi Melissa! It's not loose nor snug in the sleeves – pretty stretchy. However it is long in the sleeves on me so I've rolled it up twice!

Hi ladies! Sorry for the delay! It's actually a men's bag from Filson and belongs to my husband. I love the look and Filson items are always well-made. However, it's pretty roomy so after it's filled up, it's quite heavy to carry as a shoulder bag!

Thank you, Rachel! I'm wearing Essie gel couture (not really a gel) "pre-show jitters." It's a creamy white with a hint of pink, and I love the wide applicator brush!

Any tips on how to hem the Zella live in leggings? I'm 4'11" so they are way too long on me, but so far I've been too afraid I'll ruin them. I've been trying to get my hands on the midi ones to avoid the need, but they unfortunately always sell out before I get the chance.

Is that the Lo & Sons OMG or OG bag I spot next to your suitcase? If so I would love to know what you think of the size and functionality. I've been considering the OMG or OG but I don't want to find out it's too big for my frame.
