Cyber Monday Steals & Deals 2016

tweed coat affordable OTK boots winter outfit extra petite

Thanksgiving weekend always ends too soon. It’s undoubtedly one of my favorite times each year, spent stuffing myself with Mom’s home-cooking and playing nostalgic games (anyone remember LIFE? : ) with my younger brothers, whom I don’t get to see nearly enough. To help fend off any post-holiday slumps, I wanted to share a few new sales today for Cyber Monday, along with updates from my favorite retailer sales over the weekend! There are lots of free shipping with no minimum promos today, so great for picking up any one-off items you had your eye on.

Nordstrom
Nordstrom has several “new markdowns” today, including Stuart Weitzman highland and lowland boots (lowlands run about half size big in the foot area) in select colors for a crazy 40% off, with sizes going quickly. They are also automatically price-matching several good sales today, including brands like:
– 25% off almost all Hunter boots
– 30% off The North Face (numerous styles) coats & boots for the family
– 25% off Rag & Bone including booties and jeans
– 30% off J.Brand
– 35 to 50% off select Topshop items
– 40% off 7 for all Mankind (numerous select styles)
– 30% off most Ray-Ban sunglasses
– 30% off Kate Spade

Macy’s
New Cyber Monday deals posted with updated, lower free ship & returns minimum of $25. The Dyson vacuum promos going on are SO good! I have the V6 regular one and my friends with pets love the V6 animal hair. I paid much more and didn’t realize they’d ever be discounted this much.

One King’s Lane
20% off everything, prices as marked. This is very good considering they rarely ever have any coupon codes or promos! OKL has a well-curated selection of furniture and home goods – I’ve bought several pieces from there over time that I love. I recommend their mirrored nightstands and Alina tufted headboard (comes in 12+ colors or a bed version), which I have in light gray velvet. Their holiday shipping pass for $20 is a good deal as well, as I easily paid more to ship per piece of furniture.

And if you were eying anything from other home stores like Pottery Barn, West Elm, etc, that family of brands are all having select items on sale plus free shipping promos today!

Amazon
Take 30% off most of their clothing, shoes, and accessories today (discount appears at checkout), plus here’s a deal good for gifting for all ages: take $10 off any book purchase of $25 or more with code HOLIDAYBOOK (excludes ebooks or audiobooks). I love to cook and just added One Pan, Two Plates to my collection based on a friend’s recommendation!

Rent the Runway
Take 30% off all rentals today with code CM2016, in time for all those upcoming festivities! You can search for dress rentals by size and body type, plus see pictures of others wearing the same item for fit reference. For anyone new to RTR, note you can select a second size to rent free of charge if you’re debating in between two sizes.

Ann Taylor
50% off everything and now free ship at any price with code CYBER50. Two accessories I love, the faux pearl statement necklace (see on me; this is always a well-received gift) and the delicate version (see on me) are both on extra sale for under $25! Another one of my favorite basics is the Ann Cardigan – all colors are now $30 or less, and my usual size fits me nicely (see it on me).

LOFT
50% off everything and now free ship at any price with code CYBERMONDAY. Pick up one of their highly reviewed staples like petite legging jeans, or check out potential gifts like cozy cardigans and holiday socks (might’ve gotten a few pairs of these for myself…).

Gap
The Gap Inc. core family of stores (Banana, Old Navy, Gap – shop them all in one cart) all make petites sizing and are having 50% off sitewide! Their fitness brand Athleta is having 20% off everything.

Talbots
50% off one full-priced item and 40% off the rest of your purchase, plus free shipping at any price! Talbots always makes a great gift for mom, but I’ve also had plenty of classic finds there for myself. Check out this cute sweater sleeve coat with removable hood (starts in sz 2P and up), their shoes (starts in sz 5), leather goods, and don’t for get to add a few pairs of my favorite opaque hosiery!

Uniqlo
See their Cyber Monday specials, plus get free shipping on all orders with no minimum. You can also take $15 off $150 or $30 off $200 w/ code THANKS. They make solid basics like lightweight down jackets and “heat tech” thermal pieces for winter. I have a few layering tops, flannel shirts, and their ultra lightweight down vest in xs which is on sale & runs small (see it on me here and here).

ASOS
Take 30% off everything with THANKFUL30, and free international shipping & returns on orders over $40. I love their petite department for trendier pieces that often fit without alterations needed. I find their in-house brand to run at least a size or two smaller than American brand sizing.

Bloomingdales
New online-only promo: take 10% off almost all beauty purchases, and continued free shipping & returns on all orders. This is a small discount but it includes higher-end makeup and skincare that rarely go on sale at all, ranging from La Mer to Mac and lots more. Fans of Laura Mercier (25% off $100 w/ BLKFRI), Nars (20% off w/ TAKE20), Lancome (20% off w/ CYBERMONDAY), and Bobbi Brown (20% off + free ship on everything, no code needed) can take advantage of better promos on the brands’ own sites.

I went ahead and purchased these in black, at first glance out of the box I was like "oh God they look cheap" but I kept them and when I wore them they actually didn't look bad and I got compliments. If you want to wear thick socks I would def size up half a size, I like that I am 4:11' and they don't come up to my hips lol. Also the bottoms are hard so not uncomfortable but I will prob put a gel insole inside for walking these city streets. Hope this helped!

Came here looking for the very same answer. Jean, can you please confirm. I am on the brink of placing the order myself. Should I size down?

    Hi Jean,
I've been on the hunt for years now for a nice and reasonably priced coat. I really like the J. Crew Double-Cloth Lady Day Coat but can't justify spending that much on it. Could you do a post about different coats and where to find them?

    Thank you!

Question about the Charles David Gunter OTK boot. I've been reading reviews online and do you find the material cheap looking? or do they really resemble suede? Also bout half the reviews suggest to size down, I plan on wearing socks since its winter on the east but wanted your opinion. Thanks!

Thank you for the heads up on the SW boots! 🙂

I absolutely love the SW Highlands in Praline on you, but the color is being discontinued (for the upcoming season at least). 🙁 I thought it was strange that it was 40% off at Nordstrom so I checked with SW… I was able to get it price matched elsewhere since my size is out of stock, but I'm not too optimistic. It seems like they're pushing Londra and Topo (and black) as the core neutral shades.

Hi Jean, I've just discovered your blog and it's a fabulous blog for petite people like myself! love reading all your recommendation.
Just a quick question – on your older post on 07/11/16, you mentioned that you shortened the sleeve on the BLANK NYC suede jacket in "coffee bean", how did you shortened the sleeve as it has a zip to it? I have the same one in Burgundy and the sleeve is quite long for me. thanks in advance for your answer xoxo

Hi Grace – Don't worry, I've been in that situation way too many times! There should be a box to enter the code when you click on your shopping cart. I took a screenshot for you!

I can't believe I'm posting this, but I'm trying to buy that neutral checkered coat off of Chicwish (my first time using the site), and for the life of me, I can't find where to enter the promo code BLK25. I also Googled for the answer. Any ideas?!

I see the promo code is good through 11/29, so hopefully when I wake up, I'll have an answer here and I can order it!

    So embarassing.

Oh man, I have a ton and can't really narrow it down to 2! I have to admit though, I rarely ever follow recipes exactly and usually just thumb through my books for inspiration. I love Barefoot Contessa's cookbooks for good ole homecooking but I usually take shortcuts, Chrissy Teigen's book Cravings is fun with western and asian recipes, and then there's Skinnytaste which is popular for lighter recipes.

I just tried using the HOLIDAYBOOKS promo at amazon but it didn't work. Is it only good for one book that's $25+? I was trying to do a set of books that added up to more than $25. Weird.
