Happy Tuesday! Just a quick post today sharing this easy ensemble I wore last week. My skirt is old and I hemmed the scallops myself, but I also own this similar version (also sold here) that’s been restocked from last year! That one is made in a sturdy, stretchy knit material and is fully lined – see it on me in sz US2.
On another note, we’re currently planning some travel to Tokyo and possibly Singapore and Bali – all spots where Nick and I had really wanted to go after our wedding last year! We didn’t go on a honeymoon due to our schedules at the time, but are really looking forward to taking some trips this year. I’d love to hear about any must-visit places, and of course your favorite recommendations for where to eat and things to do in those areas!
Rainy Days: Navy, trench + scallops

I'm planning a trip to Tokyo myself, and I found a spa just outside Tokyo where you can bathe in green tea, wine, or even ramen! If you're a fan of Hayao Miyazaki films, the Ghibli Museum is a must see, although I'm partial because I learned to walk in the adjoining park years ago 🙂

I'm really digging that scalloped skirt! What an adorable outfit!

Great look! Have a nice time in Japan!
Hi, i always love your style and i'm so happy you plan to trip asia. If you don't mind, you can check my blog at http://bingkaipetualang.wordpress.com and http://ernykurnia.blogspot.co.id for recommendation place in Tokyo and Bali.
But the must visit place in Bali is Ubud, Tabanan, and Kuta. Have a nice trip ya!
Ichiran is tasty and they have locations in the US.
However, I must mention that Ichiran is Fukuoka tonkotsu ramen!
For Tokyo-
All I have is a business card from a bar where they do close up magic- amazing! Phone number is 3571-4054-4056- maybe your hotel could help you out? We needed to call in advance because the bar only fits about 15 people at a time. It's in Ginza somewhere..
And like a lot of things in Tokyo, it's a little hidden.
And you should check out Kappabashi street- they sell lots of pottery and plates to restaurants. Beautiful bowls and plastic imitation food.
Shinjuku golden Gai is also a must see and I would throw the robot show in there as a thing 100pct for tourists but also 100pct bizarrely worth it..
Restos in Singapore:
– burnt ends
– din tai Fung
– Chili crab at jumbo on East Coast
– neon Pigeon
Bars:
– the library (it's a speak easy- you can get the password on their fbook page, changes every week)
– 28 Hong Kong st (also a speak easy, no password required tho!)
– screening room on club st (rooftop bar)
Jean!
My Tokyo recs:
– HARBS (amazing strawberry cakes)
– Sushi Dai
– Ichiran for ramen (cool experience; can skip Ippudo)
– Strawberry mochi from some shop in Ginza that’s located on one of the main streets. So vague, but I don’t remember the name
Lemme know if you want to see pics or is thinking of visiting other parts of Japan 🙂
I personally don’t think Singapore is worth visiting. Well, let me amend that. If you’re making multi-stops, put Tokyo last. The other places will probably pale in comparison and you’ll wish you had just stayed in Japan. That’s how I felt at least!
Jean – where is your blue umbrella from?
Love the classic navy & khaki outfit. Would you give details on the bag you are carrying?
