Hope everyone in the wake of Jonas stayed safe and warm this weekend! This was the first snowfall of the season that we were in town for, so I got up extra early to enjoy the scene around our neighborhood. We were too lazy to shovel the car though, which hopefully won’t be a slippery slope like last year when it ended up iced over for 2 months straight!
Btw to get more mileage out of your “hole-y” jeans throughout winter, a layer of tights underneath kept my legs toasty and insulated! Also I wanted to mention my warm scarf is back in stock after being sold out several times this season, along with my tartan one which you guys have seen numerous times on here. Please note these are very generous in size!
I’ve been defaulting to the lazy high bun these days since I’m in need of a haircut. For those who’ve been asking – no bumpit here, just a hidden butterfly claw to help hold everything up. It takes seconds and actually stays all day for me. Will try to do a video tutorial sometime!
Love the scarf and the outfit!
Is your scarf the same as the one on the ASOS website? Because it looks like yours has more lavendar tones (which is what I want) but the one on the linked ASOS webpage has more tan/brown tones..
Love your outfit!! Nice photo!!

Jean you are truly a gem. I broke down and bought the YSL bag but in black. I've been wanting a higher end designer bag for a while but because of my petite frame I felt like it had to be a perfect size and strap length, etc. Well because you've done all the research and sharing your super helpful tips (e.g. YSL vs Chanel WOC) it has saved me so much time in going shopping to look at these types of things. With your pics and detailed summaries I knew that the YSL bag was the perfect one for me. I received today and LOVE. Thank you immensely for sharing all your knowledge!
Pleaseeee do a hair tutorial on your bun!!!
Great coat! Love the scarf! Your bag is so pretty! =)

love the scarf, but skeptical about getting one without having tried it out in a store as i can't pull off cute looks as effortlessly as you do. I also can't wait to see the hair tutorial; never heard of a butterfly claw before…
Amazing look, it look so cozy.

Did you have to go to old navy or were you able to find the mittens online? Also, what is the name of the color that you purchased? So pretty!

LOVE the scarf! And the boots!
Looks great! BTW, I bought that Kate Spade travel mug back when you first posted it was on sale, and it makes me happy every time I use it. Thanks for the heads up on that!

I would love a bun tutorial on how you hide that butterfly claw!
Love the oversized scarf!

You've convinced me to buy Sorel shoes… except they ran out in my size. Haha. Back to last year's boots!
I love the blush pink notes on the scarf and the knitted mittens! That coat is amazing as well. It's tailored perfectly for you!

That huge shawl looks so cosy, I´d love to wrap it around me and go out for a walk in freezing weather.
See my new outfit 😉 (link).

I love the color palette of this outfit, and that scarf is just gorgeous! Also, I'm definitely going to start wearing tights underneath my distressed jeans. What a good idea! Thanks for the tip. 😀

Looking cute as always Jean! Those mittens are precious!
Glad you managed to stay warm in the snow. We got hit pretty hard here in NYC, and my hubby and my vacation to the Virgin Islands even got canceled because of the weather! >_< we are still going to Puerto Rico as a last minute plan B though so it's ok Xo

Very nice winter look!
Obsessed with the entire outfit! Those mittens are adorable. And, I love all the snow.
Hi Jean! Please do a tutorial on your hair bun! I just cut my hair into a lob but a good high bun would have helped make my formerly too-long hair so much more bearable..
I'm looking into buying a pair of Sorel or LL Bean boots for this Winter… I really love how they look on you! I can't decide which one I want. Love that scarf also, it looks so comfy!

Jean, how are those Sorels holding up in heavier snow?
Also, surprised you are not wearing your down puffer – do you find the wool to be warmer?
you look adorable, xx
So cute! I had to go to 4 Old Navys to get the mittens and the hat to match, but so worth it!
