I’m excited to partner with Neiman Marcus this holiday season and share some of my favorite gift picks ~ I’m usually the biggest procrastinator, but have gotten a jump start this year taking advantage of the promos around this time! They have a gift card promo going on right now for Cyber Monday, plus free everyday shipping, returns, and gift packaging. I am giving away one of my favorite gifts from their Christmas Book this year…read on below for details!
Here are my top gift picks which friends & family are bound to love (and I surely wouldn’t mind finding any of these under the tree for myself!)…
For best girlfriends (or yourself): Jo Malone gift set – I don’t wear much fragrance but I love, love Jo Malone fruity ones (and Nick likes to steal a pump or two every so often). This set has some of their most popular ones in a gift-ready package, and allows for layering of scents to create your own mix!
For mom, MIL or sisters: Button or Bailey Bow Uggs or customize your own (all of which are currently 20% off!) – I admit Uggs are still my shoe of choice when I just want to be super comfy and warm…I also keep a pair just for at-home wear against our ice cold floors. You can’t go wrong with the classic but the bailey bow style is adorable.
For makeup-loving friends: Clinique A Case of the Pretties Palette (a $129 value for under $30), Lancome mascara value sets on some of their best-selling eye products, or the YSL Glossy Stain gift set of 4 lip products (the stains are usually $36 each).
Splurge treat for self: the limited-edition jeweled Manolo Blahnik butterfly shoes
For the men in your life: reversible Ferragamo belt kit – a discreet & functional luxury gift that won’t ever go out of style.
For a secret santa exchange with your girlfriends – Deborah Lipman mini polish set (also in neutrals for just $34) – I love scoping out all the mini polish variety sets that come out around the holidays, as I’m rarely able to finish a full-sized bottle without it becoming gloppy or separated.
I just discovered your blog and being just over 5 foot, I am in love with your take on clothing for our smaller frames! I was lucky enough to score a pair of mint Hunter boots during black friday. I would love to see you style some work appropriate outfits around them!
Do the size 5 hunter boots feel big? I followed one of your posts about buying the kids hunter boots size 4
Hi Jean, what lens did you use here? your pictures and outfit are always amazing, love it. Hopefully you could also make a post about what camera and lens do you use. Thanks & Regards,
Hi Laurie – sure! just did one on faux fur vests : )
Hi there ~ i'm sorry to hear about the Rafflecopter issues, but I added in an entry for you before I had it draw a winner!
Hi Jean,
I've been trying to enter your giveaway but after I log into the raffecopter, it gets stuck. I can't seem to proceed any further. Thanks.
It's J.Crew!
Wow, that last photo is really stunning! I love your beanie and that camel coat!

Beautiful coat http://www.kblossoms.etsy.com
Great pictures & love the color scheme!
Hi, were any other alterations needed for your coat other than the sleeve length? Did you have to move the belt loops up?
Thanks!
I am also a longtime reader and I don't think your posts are too sponsored. I love how your blog has grown with you and I think you are being true to yourself. It's hard to maintain a blog for over seven years and I think you are doing a fine job of sharing your life with readers but also keeping it private. Just wanted to share my support.
I love your outfit! I have Hunter boots but I have never thought that red ones can be so stylish! <3 uau
I can understand where you're coming from and of course it saddens me to hear that from a longtime reader. I think people change and evolve over time for many reasons, and in the lengthy ~7 years I've blogged, a lot has changed in my life that gets reflected in what I post. When I started blogging I was fresh out of college and my content was indicative of that stage (e.g. a lot of fashion trial & error, doing amateur alterations instead of getting professional ones). I shared a lot about my personal life and now do so less for privacy reasons. As for sponsorships, I choose the ones that I feel are a good fit with brands that I patronize. I am truly thankful for your readership over the years, but I've also come to accept that what I post on here won't resonate with everyone.
Hi there – I use a Canon 6D! No lighting kit…we just try to catch the natural light when it's nice outside.
Thanks! I use a Canon 6D
Hi ~ they are J.Crew camp socks!
Omg, super cute hat! I also love that the jacket doesn't overwhelm a small frame as a lot of puffer jackets do. Can you post about fur vests? I have tried so many and most look overwhelming on a small frame.
Thanks. Xo

It's from Target! They have so many cute ones now
I've tried the same one on three years in a row and finally took the plunge!
where is your hat from? I love how it's so simple (aka no designs).
Hi Jean, what camera do you use for these lovely pictures? Also, do you use any sort of lighting kit because the lighting in the pictures are perfect. Thanks.
That is a really nice coat, I've been on the search for one like this same color and i think this one would be perfect. you look great as always, hope you're having a great weekend.

Hi, I've been a longtime reader and fan, and I have to say, respectfully, that I'm a little disappointed that your blog seems to have taken a turn towards purely sponsored content recently. For example, the pictures in this post are beautiful, but they look more like a stock photo model in a carefully manicured corporate photoshoot than… well, what your blog used to be. I miss the Life with PAG series, alteration DIYs, figuring out what outfits worked and what didn't, and travel posts. As someone who's been closely following your blog since I was a shy, clueless college student, your blog persona used to come across as a big sister or a good friend. Now you feel really far away. Obviously you have complete creative control over your content and I respect the direction that you think it would be best to go in. I just wanted to share my thoughts.
Thank you for the ideas, hopefully those pesky links start working soon. None of the pages loaded for me.
Where did you get the wrapping paper?? I love it!
I need that coat!!!! 😀
What great gift ideas. Happy holidays!!
