LOFT sweater in xsp, BP leggings sz S (length folded under), Vince Camuto boots
Last weekend we strolled to Boston Public Garden to scope out the foliage, however it seemed that all the trees were either still mostly green or completely barren already! We must’ve just missed a few trees turning because there was this giant pile of the prettiest, vibrant pink and orange leaves on the ground.
I love leggings as a lazy, comfy alternative to jeans, especially on long flights when too skinny jeans can cut off your circulation. To escape the associated stigma, just make sure your top is plenty long enough to cover your crotch. I thought I was in the clear here, but looking at these photos it wouldn’t hurt to have an extra inch or two of length…oops : ) I read tons of reviews looking for leggings that aren’t see through and won’t stretch out much, and was vacillating again between the ones I’m wearing here and these ravely-reviewed Hue ones. I went with the BP for this color and so far they don’t disappoint (do size up – a S was fitted on me). I only wish they’d make petite! The lazy in me just has the extra length folded under for now.
I’ve been wearing these Vince Camuto “Hillsy” booties so much, they’re definitely rivaling my BP Trolley ones for versatility and comfort. They are similar in height with the VC measuring at 3.25″ and the BP at 3″ eve. I have to say the VC leather feels a little better and softer which is probably reflective of the higher price. They are still available in most sizes, starting in a hard to find sz 4!
Also, I’ve been liking this LOFT sweater so it’s interesting to read all the polarizing reviews online! The style is very slouchy and poncho-esque so I guess it might be in the expectations. My only complaint with it is the smaller neckhole as mentioned in my review, but getting my hair rumpled up has been a fairly minor issue so far.
These photos are perfect! The colours in the background compliment your outfit really well!

I sometimes wear the footie no-show socks that you can find at department stores or Marshalls, etc, but they do slip a bit like you mentioned so with these dip booties, I usually go sockless just like with pumps.
Hi Rebecca! The booties are pretty different styles so I can't really directly compare. The VC have a more western style while the BP are a basic bootie silhouette, the VC have the dip vs straight cut, etc. both of which I actually find to be flattering. Especially with dark tights being work with dark boots one cut isn't noticeably more flattering to me. Also, my BP booties are from 2 years ago so I don't know if they changed quality at all since, but I do think the VC are good quality. Nordstrom has easy free returns so I'd suggest just trying both and see which feel best on your feet!
As for tucking in shirts…it's pretty natural to have them poof out throughout the day as you sit, stand, walk and sit back down again. Sometimes I tuck them into my underwear and tights to keep them in extra secure. You can try one-piece bodysuit blouses too to keep them really securely tucked.
Hi there – unfortunately it doesn't shrink much in the dryer and I think an XS regular will be too roomy for your. You should do store search for an xxsp (they ship for $8) – they say it's online only but it's definitely not! Both of my local stores had that size in-store.

Just curious as to what socks you usually wear with booties. I find that sometimes my socks have no grip on the bottom and cause my feet to slide forwards in my heeled booties.

Love this look so much! I'm vacillating between the BP Trolley booties and the VC booties — Which do you find more flattering? I'm about your size, and I know the BP Trolley boots look like they come up higher on the ankle than the VC's. Thoughts?
Also — how do you tuck in your shirts/sweaters/blouses without them poofing out? I always feel like it's my height, but yours always look perfect! Any help would be great 🙂

Yes, the sweater could be about two inches longer on you but it looks great. Maybe the review situation has something to do with figure type? I am petite but curvy, sweaters like that (though I love them) make me look fat because of my bust. I finally stopped buying them. You really have to dress for your figure. Mine is an hourglass and though I have trouble finding clothes small enough to fit me, styles that have a nice drape and flutter on women with figures like yours turn into columns on me. I love that sweater and it's good to hear that you've given such an honest review. The color is very pretty and I love the way it hangs. Those leggings are also super cute. I also prefer leggings for traveling, so I should probably look into buying some for myself.

Leggings or boyfriend jeans are always my go to for flights as well! I always try to cover everything as well – though I've seen tons of people wear leggings and crop tops, I personally wouldn't be comfortable with that.
I love these photos – the focus is amazing! When I shot with my f/1.4, I have to weed out tons of photos where the focus is just slightly off.
