Ann Taylor extra 70% off sale items (ends Friday)

Silk camp shirt ($27 from $98), more colors options here or a popover-style also on sale

I’ve been seeing the extra 50, 60, and now finally extra 70% off sale item emails for Ann Taylor as they’re probably trying to make room for spring (eek!) arrivals. I combed through the entire selection and there’s a few classic finds left including the 100% silk camp or popover blouses up above (I own a camp and also tried the popover – the fit of both is good and I like the roll-up sleeve tabs) for just $27. Here’s a few other items that are still available in xxs petite and up but those could be going quickly:

– machine washable woven button-up blouse with good reviews, just $13.50!
– tunic-like striped sweater with zips for $18
– no more 00/xxs on these, but the patina lace skirt and cable sweater I love & wore back in this post are an awesome value after the 70% off. Happy shopping!

You were right about the pom pom sweatshirt. It is far too thick to tuck in, and the cut on it is boxy and unflattering, particularly since I tend to carry my weight in my chest area. I had hoped to keep it even if it didn't work with the skirt, but it's going back.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fit of the cream sweater you originally paired with the skirt. It has a v-neck pattern that wasn't fully visible in any of the photos that creates a slimming illusion for a heavier-chested wearer. I love it!

I also love the skirt. It's different, in texture and fit, than a lot of skirts I have, but I sense that I will get my cost per wear down to near zero with that piece. I can't wait to see how you style it in the spring/summer to get more ideas on how to wear it all year long.

I was finally able to purchase the skirt now that a P0 popped up but it's only 50% off =(
Not sure if P0 will fit since I sometimes find P00 to be big. Did you find the P00 fit you perfectly without any need for alterations?

I hope you like them! Many AT stores now have extended petite sizing to try on in-store so that could be better for a first-time shopper if the fit isn't right : )

Yes, definitely – it's very spring/summer friendly as well! I recently packed it for southern california and wore it with a neon yellow sweater (will try to post pics sometime soon), but it also looks good with a simple colored or white blouse. For anything too dark up top, you may need to wear a nude slip skirt underneath to avoid the color showing through the skirt. The pom pom sweatshirt looks adorable in the photos although I wonder if it may be too much bulk to tuck in as compared to a cropped length top. I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling encouraged to be more experimental with fashion! Happy new year : )

Hi Peony – that's so sweet of you. I did an old one here: https://www.extrapetite.com/2011/03/current-hair-curling-routine-easy-loose.html Please pardon the awkwardness! I still use the same routine, except i no longer use the clip on the curling iron and just curl my hair on the outer side of the barrel and hold it in place with my fingers. this tends to eliminate any crimping caused by the clips. Be careful to avoid burning your fingers tho!

70% is so good for these blouses. Thanks for your input on the fit! I have the green and guess I didn't think they ran big since every silk blouse I've tried or bought is cut on the roomier side.

I was wondering if you think the lace skirt can transcend seasons and be worn in spring/summer combos. If so, do you think you could style it for those seasons? I just purchased it, and I'm pretty excited about it, but I'm hoping to get more wear out of it than just fall/winter. Also, I am thinking of pairing it with the AT Pom-Pom Sweatshirt which is similar in color and style but has less shed than the sweater you used, plus the neckline is a wee bit more flattering for the fuller busted lady. Some of AT's crew neck items add pounds to the bustline. I love the white-on-white look, though, and you've inspired me to move out of my comfort zone and try something new and exciting. I love your look and the inspiration you give me to be brave. Thanks!

Jean, I was wondering if you would ever consider doing a hair video/tutorial? Loved your makeup video and I'm even more clueless about hair so it would be so helpful!

I bought two of the silk camp blouses from when they were 70% off before and love them (green and bright blue color). I would say they run slightly big – I ordered the XXS Petite and they are still a little loose in the arms (I usually wear an XS Petite or XS).
