I was happy with the products but unfortunately a few readers have mentioned problems with their shipping times, live chat customer service, as well as returning or exchanging items. As a result please note this and order at your own risk.**
It’s not often when I come across classic style outerwear for just $36. The quality has room for improvement, so please temper expectations based on the price point. Specifically, please note that the lining is very thin, the pockets are not real (I plan on adding some in), and the outer tweed can get static-y especially with long, dry hair. On the plus side – the style is very versatile, the fit required minimal alterations, and the soft material doesn’t wrinkle when traveling. I’ve been reaching for it quite often, making sure to pack some hair-taming cream in my purse.
In my opinion this coat in size S fits similar to an H&M; sz 4 or American sz 0 (I unfortunately forgot to take measurements at home before migrating to warmer land). Please note I slimmed the sleeves about 1 inch on each side (tutorial) as I’m picky about fitted sleeves, and have the sleeve length folded up another inch. The weight is thin to medium for a coat, suitable for ~40 degree and up climates unless you layer underneath.
I’m admittedly wary of “cocoon” style coats for my own body type, but I do love the look of a straight-cut topper thrown over more tailored pieces or skinny bottoms. The shoulders and total length on this coat are a casual fit on someone my size, but not overwhelming. There is a 1-button closure that hits by my hips, which I never use and might just snip off. The listing photos show this coat also looks nice as a shorter, shrunken fit jacket on various other body types and heights.
I’ve gotten many questions about Sheinside regarding payment, shipping and returns. I received this jacket from the company so unfortunately can’t speak to the shopping process as a regular customer. I know a few of you have heard that both shipping and returns to/from Asia can take a few weeks, thus want to caution those who are considering ordering. I also noticed they do accept Paypal, which I’ve been using for years to avoid leaving a credit card info trail everywhere I shop. If anyone has personal experience ordering with this company, I’d love to hear about it.
Sadly, I have the same issue as Michelle. Things were promising with Sheinside when I received a partial shipment and was able to successfully return the items for a refund. However, I am still disputing the request to refund the remainder of the order. I made 3 requests for the return label and refund, and it was not until the 3rd request that Sheinside responded and DENIED that I was allowed to return the item for a refund saying that it was now 30 days after the delivery date (I made my initial request for return/refund 28 days after delivery). I opened a dispute with my credit card company and hope to have this end in my favor.

The intention of my post was merely to share my terrible experience in here so that others become aware of poor-after sale service of this website. I've never thought it was your fault. They asked me to pay them additional USD 20 so that they will send me size S jacket and I can also keep size M jacket. I feel responsible for having featured gifted product from a company with such bad customer service, as I know how frustrating that can be, and certainly don't want any of my readers to be ripped off by bad business practices. As of last month I no longer accept any items from them, and if I feature either of the two pieces I already own again, I will make sure to share your comment to give other shoppers fair warning. Hi Sabina, I think the S corresponds similarly to an H&M; sz S/EUR 34 but can be a snug, "shrunken" fit on someone 1 size up. The bust measurement of the S I have is about 85 cm around, so it sounds like slightly smaller than what Sheinside listed.

I love your blog and ordered this jacket right after reading this post. However, I'm so disappointed with Sheinside. I ordered the jacket in size S but received it in size M instead. Size M is far too big for me so I tried to contact them for the exchange or refund. I have sent them several live chat messages and emails and the only reply I got was the link to check their return policy. I have also provided them with all purchase details and images according to their policy but still no reply. I'm so disappointed providing this is my first order with the website and none of that was my fault. I will not recommend this website to anyone and will not order anything from them again. Sorry for my rage Jean but I just think this is not a fair trading and I don't want anyone to have such an annoying experience like mine. I have been eyeing on this coat for ages. I literally see this coat everywhere in Chinese shopping websites, and every time I try to buy, I always keep holding myself into cuz of size issues and dilemmas :/ .
As you are have a great knowledge in terms of fittings I would like to have some of your advice so that I could make up my mind to choose the right size and fit.
– First of all I am UK size 6, I have bust of around 88cm. Can you tell me what size you bought? And what bust does that coat of yours have?
– I am always suspicious about measurements provided by Chinese websites (like aliexpress.com) as I think they're not accurate enough or don't collaborate to the measurements in real. So whatever size you bought, did the real measurements (mainly the bust measurement) collaborate with the measurement provided by the seller?
– In Sheinside website, I am thinking to go with size Small of bust 90cm, however some reviewers are saying the coat is extremely small. Some are advicing to go one size up, but some are saying to go two size up. So another dilemma there, sigh.
I think all the other measurements are fine with me, its just the bust measurement I need to look into in order to get the right fit on my body. I would really appreciate if you could give me advice on choosing the coat that has the right sized bust for me 🙂

Here's the link of the coat for you to look at the measurements. I like the type of loose fit that you have in the pictures so I want to have that too. I'm confused in either Small (bust – 90cm) or Medium (bust – 94cm) although I'm not sure if those measurements are accurate though.

Yes – I think this coat looks better worn open though (also as shown in the various other styling photos) so not suited for very cold climates.

Hi there – most of my tights are from Forever 21 because of their large color selection, H&M;, and Talbots. Talbots tights are pricey but if you go to the pantyhose section, esp during 40% off sales, I've gotten several pairs at a good price and like their classic navy and brown colors. Those are more light in weight, versus you can get various "den" / density/ opacity tights at H&M;/F21 which increase in warmth for colder days. F21 also makes fleece lined tights for the super cold days!
To be honest I have been wearing my Aquitalia boots nearly every day when commuting so it would just be all of these outfits I have shown but with those boots – not too much variety, plus I remove them once I get to my destination.Thank you for your feedback though and I will try to show some outfits with winter practical footwear. The downside of Asian brands is they don't have material content labels (or reliable ones, at least) : / I can't tell what the material is but based on feel and the price point, presume its a polyester blend that looks a little wooly. I wouldn't recommend anyone with fabric or wool allergies to order from these sites because you don't know the specific material composition.

Do they mean wool/ poly blend, or a polyester fiber that looks a little wooly? (It's always kind of hard to tell the fiber composition on these Chinese/ Korean shopping sites…)

However, I did some searches on the company and found a lot of really bad reviews (similar to the one above) regarding returns and customer service. After reading everything I decided I didn't want to risk it.
I love the fact that their website shows many different people wearing the coat in many different ways. I wish other sites did that.

I am into topper coats these days and made several purchases on some classic colors(black, navy) this year. I even bought one J crew lady day coat which fit me great. For the price, I think it is a good choice. What kind of tights (hosiery) are you wearing? I have a few winter skirts, but I never wear it, since I haven't found any good winter tights. Can you make some recommendations on your summer and winter tights (light weight and thick )? Maybe you already posted a few links on the website, but I missed it. Since I'm a pants girl(if this makes sense), I always end up reaching for the pants. Maybe if I find the right hosiery, I will get more use out of the skirts and dresses I have. Lovely outfit as always! =)
I ordered a vest from Sheinside and was not impressed with their customer service at all. It was too small and I wanted to return it and could not find instructions online (probably my bad). I did see that I had a year to return and item and when I tried using the online chat – it was never available. I also sent several emails and never heard from them. I will never order from them again.

Pretty! But I think the lack of buttons makes the coat a bit impractical for windy east coast weather. But you pulled it off very well, especially with that chic outfit!
