I ordered this box pleat blouse during LOFT’s last big sale, and have found it to be a good warm-weather basic. The material is 100% polyester (which I almost prefer to silk because it’s machine washable), drapes well, tucks into bottoms without bulk, and doesn’t wrinkle much throughout the day. It is very thin and sheer, however, so I make sure to wear a nude-colored bra underneath. For sizing, I am wearing an xxs petite here without any alterations. Measurements are: 13″ across the shoulders, 17.5″ armpit to armpit, 20″ length, 16.5″ sleeve length. The lighting and temperature changed so drastically in the five minutes I was taking these photos…I am purple & fighting a fit of shivers in the below pic, but included it anyways to show the fit of the top.
I totally love with your necklace 🙂 It has very unique look
Thrifting is an awesome time killer 🙂 Love it when you find those special pieces!

Love the outfit! Looks very pretty on you. 🙂
I love this outfit as I have been obsessed with neon yellow. I thought it'd be a phase, but I'm really stuck on it.

I just wanted to say that I really love your blog! I discovered it recently and try to read a few posts a day. I love the way you dress and I find so many useful tips on it because I'm not much bigger than you (5'3", 105 pounds) and people refer to me as "petite" all the time.
You look so good in that color! Great job on the skirt! I love the shoes too!
Thank you for the giveaway, Jean <3
I got the same blouse at LOFT, really love it. It looks great on you!
Can you share where you got the beautiful yellow geometric pattern fabric?
Hope to win! What a lovely DIY skirt. Can't wait to see more about it.
The diy skirt tunred out great.

Hmm, the lighting in these photos are odd. It darkens the photos and makes you look less "bright" and "cheerful" like how you usually look. Switch back to the normal camera setting pleaseeee!
But I love the outfit! Very fitting for spring!
love this combo on you. so pretty!
thanks also for a great giveaway!
sale alert! secret ann taylor sale going on now. 60% off sale items! 🙂
I love the yellow color! So vibrant.
Just wondering if your J Crew boxy yellow/mustard jacket with the ivory trim would also go with this skirt.
I love the pattern of your skirt! I really want to find a similar pattern =) x
I love love love the yellow and the print of your skirt! So the pink elephant print is gone and now a pair of shorts? Or no? Your instagram comments confused me 😛 Love the LOFT top too! Too bad almost all sizes are sold out 🙁 But isn't the additional 60% off sale at LOFT/AT the best?
Love the skirt!

Should mention the dress comes in a navy/light mint color combo – not navy/white.
I have to echo everyone else . . . I MUST know more about that skirt! It's so beautiful. Thanks in advance.
Also, may have found an alternative to the ASOS blue/white striped dress at Anthropologie. All the petite sizes are sold out online, but you may be able to find in store. Here's the link: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/clothes-dresses/27863661.jsp

Beautiful, I'm a huge fan of the statement necklace and the fact that the gems are clear!
I am loving that you are popping up more frequently in my reader Jean, love your posts.
This is a such a stunning, cheerful outfit and can't wait to see how the skirt is convertible. Wondering if the elephants make it… hopefully we'll find out soon 🙂 And I just have to comment that I agree that for bright outfits, silver metallic accessories work perfectly as a neutral. Silver for spring/summer and gold for fall/winter.
Hope that you were able to get a hot cup of cocoa and warm up after the shoot!
These colors are great on you. And the shoes with the necklace…very nice! You are giving me inspiration for when I start analyzing my work wardrobe and what I want to add/get rid of.
Can't wait to see your post on the convertible skirt! Also thanks for Instagramming the LOFT blouse. I was able to get it on super sale after seeing it on you and I love how easy it is to just throw on with anything.
Does that mean the elephant print stays in some fashion?? How did you end up doing it?
Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway! I'd be a fan on FB already but .. I don't use FB. <3
Want to see how you made the skirt convertible! You know how I love multi-purpose DIYs! 🙂
Love the skirt! Wish I could be more colorful at work! I feel like I always have to toned down an outfit by wearing something neutral. I ended up purchasing that same white blouse a few weeks ago. How do you manage to get away with wearing just a nude bra? It felt too revealing with just a nude bra so I've been wearing it with a nude tank as well.

Yellow is popping up all over the blogosphere today.
Looks like I will likely end up wearing something similar tomorrow because it's top of mind.

Recently found the best fitting cropped pant ever at Loft! The "Petite Marisa Skinny Cropped Pants in Bi-Stretch" are amazing! I'm 5'1 94lbs. 34/23/33 and these pants actually fit my super petite frame! I bought 3 pairs in diff. colors and I highly recommend my fellow petites to do the same! 🙂
great spring outfit, jean. i love the colors. did you sew the skirt yourself and how is it convertible?
also, thanks for the giveaway!
