This month’s Petite Fashion Challenge (PFC) is being hosted by fashionforteens. Be sure to check out her post for all the other ladies’ outfits! The challenge: “…take traditionally summer pieces (like tank tops, shorts, etc) and make them appropriate for fall.” 
All of my PFC’s are kind of a cop out. I was wearing the outfit on the left and just lazily swapped bare shoulders for a blazer, and peep toes for ankle boots. I was trying to add tights, but started sweating while digging for tights and subsequently gave up. When buying shorts, I specifically look for versatile ones that layer nicely over hosiery – either solid black, patterned, or textured tights.

I did some digging in my camera, and here are the few photos I have from last week’s meetup! My photog was busy eating/imbibing at the men’s table. Thank you again ladies for a fun chatter-filled evening.
And you can’t see her, but Kerry of Little Nashua joined us from NH and brought a sprinkling of “diversity” to our table. Her blonde hair is hidden amongst a sea of shiny black manes. I’ve been following Kerry for a long time for her sewing projects and thrifting finds, and she is who I have to thank for discovering Savers – the magical thrift store that sorts everything by size! I love all my pencil skirts and jewelry from there!
Hi! I love your style, always so cute! Even though I find that your style is a little bit more mature and professional (probably cos of your age) I still love it! I'm only 18 but I still find alot of it that I want hanging in my closet. Anyways, my question was is the BR lace shell top the same as in The Mad Men collection? or is their a difference? Because I'm inlove w/ the top but they are out of stock in the Mad Men collection.

And glad I've converted you to check out AT – they are one of my favorite places to shop except items can still run a little big and long (probably not with your height, though!).
lol on erin's comment of jailhouse lineup, I love up when you girls have meetup with photos, it really does help me gauge clothing sizes, since I follow most of the petite bloggers for size reference when I shop online 🙂 Sydney looks tall!

I'm a recent reader to your blog and I just have to say that I love your style 🙂 Simple, classy, and chic! I'm pretty petite too at 5'3" and 100 lbs (can we talk about how I have no hips or butt lol?), and love that you have demystified how to dress better for my body type (I used to think Ann Taylor was only a place where my mom shops!). I recently graduated college, so now I'm trying to distance myself from teen brands and develop a much more professional wardrobe–but it's hard. Those brands are so cheap and have cute stuff that still, unfortunately, appeals to me. I found a similar blouse to the BR lace blouse you're wearing in this post at American Eagle: http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?productId=3361_9049 for about $21. Their sizes run small and they even carry XXS, so sometimes AE can be a hit if you're looking for cute trendy stuff.

@ Elaine A, I just found the lace mad men top Jean is wearing on the banana republic site Canada in the petite/tops section. I couldn't fund it in canadian stores either!

I love a good blazer look, so of course I'm liking your fall version. I've also fallen into a pattern of always trying H&M; shorts because of you, but unfortunately they don't look 1/2 as good on me as they do on you.

Lol @ sweating while looking for tights. I didn't even get that far, for I was sweating while picturing my outfits with tights and gave up. Both looks are similar but yet distinctive and appropriate for each season. No worries about taking the easy way out 😉
The meetup looked like so much fun! Why did I not think to take the train up to Boston?! I love all the candid shots, but especially how great everyone looked while staying true to their personal style.
Jean was asking my daughter why she was calling mommy during a sleepover when she should have had a blast. I quickly withdrew the phone so my daughter wouldn't get any bad influence from her. lol. I love that picture, Jean! Didn't think the night shots would turn out that well.
