Per your requests, here is a simple smokey eye look that I’ve been wearing almost every day. For Fall, I’ll be experimenting with purple, hunter green, and more bronze on the lids. I finally “splurged” on the popular Urban Decay Naked Palette this year, but I like this Too Faced one better!

Dress & Nails:
– H&M; Print Shift sz 2 Item #045676, $39.95
– Essie Clam Bake
Face:
– MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer in NW25
– Makeup For Ever Duo Mat Powder Foundation in shade 203
– Rock & Republic Bronzer Refill in Villa (discontinued)
Eyes:
– Elf Eyelid Primer in Nude
– Too Faced Shadows (can be found in the Romantic Eye Palette)
– NYX Single Shadow in Smokie Mountain
– Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eyeliner
– Fiberwig Mascara
– Elf Studio Eyebrow Kit in Dark
I forgot to mention – before buying this dress, I tried on the “cropped” top version as well. The shoulders of a sz 2 fit narrower than the dress version, but the torso was just as wide. When tucked into a skirt, it was too poofy/boxy, but it might look nice on someone else over pants. Nick voted to get the dress version, which also comes in navy (seen here).

Hi Jean, I really like the orange container on your table top. Could you please share with us where you purchased it? thank you.
Is the Physicians eye liner like a paint brush tip or more like a sold felt tip pen? I need something more solid, as I find I am heavy handed and when I use a paint brush head, I can't get an even line!
Here are a few articles I came across for creating easy smoky eyes. Great tips.
Enjoy!

Jean… you are the cutest and the most classy woman I have ever seen. I am a loyal reader but mostly mute. Happy new year.. wish you a lot of success, health and love.

Hi, I love your blog and your videos are very helpful! Do you have an eyelid "crease"? I am curious because I have Asian eyes without a crease and have found it hard to wear eye makeup in the past. I couldn't tell from your videos and wondered how this makeup look would turn out on eyelids without a crease. Thank you.
Jean, I've been following your blog for awhile and I totally love your style. Have you heard of Birchbox?
I bought the top version… and now I agree with you, it is kindds poofy to tuck in, though that was what I intended to do. I wonder how I can pull it off with pants. I've got a bit of a butt. What kind of pants would work? white slim kinds?
I'm so glad to have found your blog! Can so identify (look kiddo in casuals etc.)
@PetiteAsianGirl I'm sorry, no picture of it is avalaible on Internet (I don't have any blog nor youtubechannel !)
LOVE this video Jean – thanks for sharing!! I'm catching up to your blog – it's safer for my wallet this way, although I'm already on sephora checking out the link to the romantic collection for Too Faced. As always, great tutorial – this looks to be quick and easy.
I'm SO envious of your skin – I have like the worst skin – that is the bane of MY existance.. haha! I think your eyebrows are fine!
I love your videos!
Hi Jean,
Great tutorial – thanks! Just wanted to let you know that E.L.F. products are sold at Target. I often treat myself to something each time I go…for $1 who can resist?! Although there are often many promos/free shipping, etc. on their website as well. Thanks again!
I loved your air drying hair tip. I do it every night now. Thanks!
hello! New subscriber here, really love your blog.
I just have one quick question, and that is: what brand of eyelash curler do you use? As a high schooler I struggled with a Revlon curler just because it was the only thing I could find, but it ALWAYS pinched me and NEVER got the eyelashes on my outer corners 🙁 I ended up ditching curlers altogether, but I think I should give them another chance.
I am only half Asian, so a bit of a special case, but I think a curler with a flatter curve would suit me better than these ones made with Caucasian eyes in mind. Any suggestions?
Raccoon eye tutorial please? 🙂 haha you're so funny, Jean! thanks for the tutorial, I'm so clueless when it comes to make up. Glad to see you can get good results from ELF products, because I don't have the money to buy fancy brushes and primer. 🙂
New follower right here! I was introduced to your blog by Tiffany at iamstylish. I love your outfits (whether you decide to keep them or not from ASOS). I also appreciate the smokey eye tutorial. I often have that "disappearing" shadowing affect. FINALLY, someone knows what I'm talkin' about!
Just reposted your pleated skirt photo on my blog. I am just so in love with that look right now. You just kicked my obsession with it up another notch!
Thank you! I will definitely try this out. HOpefully I won't look like a raccoon! =)
@Anonymous Thanks! It's from Amrita Singh. I love the white jade w/ gold but I'm not a fan of stretchy ring bands (the one size stretches to fit all kind).
Love your yellow cocktail ring… where did you get it from? thanks for posting!!
i love smokie mountain, forgot to tell u.
