A few of you have been asking about my Target nude pump order so here is a quick review. In short, I love the Versie pumps and will be keeping those. The Pearce are a bit too round for my liking so they are going back. Target’s 20% off of $75 or more promo ends today (May 7th), and you use a $5 off $50 coupon, plus ebates for 3% cashback.

Size 5.5 (their smallest size) is a little loose on me, as you can see in the photo. I think these run true to size, and I’m probably a sz 5 in shoes. I intend to add a little heel grip pad to close the gap.

Video Review:

A general difference I’ve observed between pricier shoes and discount shoes (aside from the leather or material) is the cut. This is most evident in the “aerial” view below. The Louboutins are more narrowly cut, with a sleeker silhouette and toe box than the Versies, and the “U” of the toe box is lower/better placed (on me, it shows just a perfect little smidge of toe cleavage). Discount shoes usually feel wide and round, but some may find that to be more comfy.
From left to right:
Funnily enough I am wearing the same outfit as in my previous “Quest for Nude Pumps” post, which ended in all returns. Looking back, none of those shoes were a true nude shade for my skin tone. I’m happy I waited for these affordable Versie Naturals – I bookmarked the page and refreshed every week until a 5.5 popped up again.
Readers – Do any of you own either shoe? Let me know your thoughts!

I was inspired to order the Versies and the Pearce shoes by this post . . . thanks!!!
But I accidentally ordered the Pearce ones with the wooden stacked heel in your link. For anyone who wants the patent version, the Pearce Camel is now back in stock online at Target.com– just search "Pearce Camel" and it should come up!
Those pumps look great and you are looking so pretty!
I've seen the Pearce shoes on so many bloggers and seeing your video river sent me over the edge and on to Target, where hey! I found one in my size! Hooray! It's great and really comfortable. Love it. Thanks for the video review!
Hi Jean! I am new to your blog and have gone back to read all of your post! Like you, I was on the hunt for a pair of nude shoes for at least six months. Being a size 4.5 in pumps made it a lot harder. I can't remember how many I tried. I finally found my perfect pair at Nordstrom. I love how the color matches my skin perfectly, 3.5 inch heel(?) and around $80.

@Ying Thank you, Ying! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I saw black and snakeskin Versie online but not sure why they didn't have as good reviews. You should definitely wait and get the right, snug size…loose shoes result in painful blisters!
@Jackie Hahah Jackie, is there a WORST way to want nude pumps? ; ) Maybe these will come back in stock and go on sale more! I heart Target deals!
@CT I just looked at the Palomars. Gorgeous shape but oh my gosh that platform is so high! Wouldn't be able to get away with those lovelies for work.
@littlemermaid11 Haha yes she definitely is! Good eye. That's probably what many shoppers THOUGHT the Asos "red" color would look like…instead we got coral orange.
@Anonymous Great alternative with a much lower heel! The stacked heels look more comfy than Versie for sure. I'll totter in Versie until my feet/legs tell me "no more."
@jedimasterglo Wow, so glad you found them in your size! My local Target was all out of these so I thought they were left online only, until I read all these comments. Enjoy your shoes!
@The Little Dust Princess You're right Jessy, I don't notice how pink they are until compared here with more yellow toned nudes! Hmm..
@MamaTamTam Aw, that is too bad! I know you happily recommended these and had high hopes for them after @Rachael got em!
@Anonymous This was my first time attempting to self-record…my apartment is so bright, I'll be more careful with the settings next time : )
@Rinny Ahh, "vamp." That's the word I was searching for. I haven't had a shoe that showed to much cleavs yet, but I can see how it may be bothersome. These definitely aren't cut too low. Good luck with your search!
@Elle Good luck! These shoes are both fairly high though…3.75 and 4 inches.
@Ping you ordered sandals? Which ones?
@Cindy When your feet have become accustomed to the comfort of no heels, I can imagine they'd scream in pain after wearing 3.75" shoes for hours. In the realm of heels though I thought these were quite comfy : ) I'm sorry they didn't work out for your sisters…you ladies could've been shoe triplets.
@sephirias I found the Pearce to be less stable at first because of the rubber sole that sticks out on the bottom! it was a little wobbly at first, but the sole has a pretty good grip so in the end it's probably more stable. The navy ones were really tempting for me. If only they had a leaner toe : )
@Melanie Have you tried polishing off the black scuffs? It's worked sometimes for me if the patent itself didn't scrape off.
My sisters and I went back to Foster City, CA Target and found 2 of the Pearce in size 6. Both my sisters bought them but they are too small. I'll be returning them this week. Hope everyone's having a good week!
After months of searching for a nude slingback with a heel 3.5in or lower, I just about gave up. Then I came across your blog randomly and figured I would go check out the pumps at Target. They had the Pearce pumps in size 6 in-stock and once I tried them on they were so comfortable. My feet are wide and very picky. Thanks so much for the tip! I'll be visiting your blog many more times in the future.
i tried both shoes but i'm more comfortable with louboutins
I ordered the Versie in size 6 as soon as I saw your post last week, and it's been sold out since. So glad I got to try it! Unfortunately the fit wasn't right for me. The toe box is a tad tight, but the rest of the shoe including the heel is loose. I'll be returning it.
I also stumbled upon the Madden Girl Unifyy at Macy's http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=488665&CategoryID;=13247&cm;_mmc=bazaarvoice-_-RLP-_-488665-_-productname_link which is a bit of a different style. A stack heel at 2 3/4 inches in blush patent for less than $30 sale price. It fits great all around, has a slimming effect, and is very easy and comfortable to walk in.
My comment is not about the pumps, but about the dress :). I've just watched this video and realized the host was wearing a similar dress. Check this out: http://financiallyfit.yahoo.com/finance/video-top-5-ways-being-too-frugal-can-cost-you-24441719
