I’m sure many of us in the States are getting ready for a few days of thanks aka pigging out on turkey, stuffing, sweet potaters and more. My Chinese mom usually substitutes tasty duck for turkey, but I found out she has ambitiously purchased a big bird this y to attempt a traditional Thanksgiving. Darn! I like my Asian duck.
Anyways, I wanted to do a giveaway this week as a tiny way to show my gratitude to all of you for reading and supporting this blog. When I started blogging a little over a year ago, inspired by Alterations Needed, never did I imagine the petite online community would blossom to where it is now (there were ~3 of us back then!). And I sure did not think I would end up making so many friends who share honest opinions, sweet comments, and useful recommendations. So thank you all very much.

4. J.Crew flower hair elastic (I have this in black and made it into a pin)

7. N.Y.C. liquid eye liner in black and 8. a pair of ELF falsies

My all time favorite mascara is by Kiss Me and it's called Active Girl Full Long. Doesn't smudge at all on me and holds my curl all day.
O-M-G you've got an INSANE amount of entries. O_O!! I wonder why I never stumbled upon your blog until mid this year. I LOVE everything you blog about [and tweet about]. The blogging community has DEFINITELY grown within this last year. I've made new friends, started reading new blogs and stopped reading a few as well [they decided to take breaks from the blogging world].
Anyways, Congrats on getting so far with this blog of yours. I'm sure you hear this alot but not only are you an amazing blogger, you're unbelievably beautiful, inside and out. =]
As for my "favorite" of the moment it has to be scarfs. I'm totally inlove with them this season. I'm also going crazy for outerwear. Living in Socal I haven't gotten the chance to wear thick warm coats. Socal doesn't get that cold so my closet never changed much. Since moving home I've had to buy a new closet. Mainly for the different seasons. There's only one.. maybe two seasons in Socal: Spring and Summer or Fall and Summer but it's about the same. I'm going to end it here. This is such a long ranty comment. Sorry!
<3s Serena.
My favorite item is a pair of black patent pumps with a bow on the toe. They are Hollywould for Target. I only spent about $20 on them a few years back, but I am still getting compliments every time I wear them and I feel unstoppable in them. Someone actually stopped me once to ask if they could take a picture of the shoes 🙂
i feel so lucky to have stumbled upon your blog and i must confess that i check it almost every day! one of my most favorite things are my black leather boots. during the cold weather, they're my best way to keep warm. happy thanksgiving! 😀

one of my favorite things right now are my Rag & Bone stiletto fit jeans. i love the heavy denim for winter and it also keeps it's shape well because of it. even after washing many times the jeans stay fitted throughout the entire time i wear them unlike other jeans which loosen. i was having a hard time finding quality jeans that fit well besides jbrand 23/24 but these have become my new fave!
Awesome giveaway Jean!
One of my favorite things is my iphone. I don't know how I lived without a smart phone for so many years because now it never leaves my side.
One of my favorite beauty product? Amore Pacific enzyme peel. Makes my skin soo soft after each treatment!
I love my Macbook right now! I don't know what I would do without it!
Also, I've been lurking at your post before but never made any comment. I'm the type who just like to read and absorb!I <3 your blog because I can really relate to being a petite Asian gal! so thanks!!
Neutrogena Benzoyl Peroxide cream. The best thing ever!
@Karen You are the sweetest. My posts are no longer meticulously prepared due to work, which makes me sad but thanks for sticking by and being a reader : ) I would like to find a good, cheap bronzer that is more glowing brown than dirty or orange.
@Doris Hello hello! So glad to hear from you and yes Google is pretty great for keeping connected. You know a year ago I knew NOTHING about makeup and it's surprising to me that much of my 'fave things' giveaway is beauty now. All thanks to the beauty bloggers/youtubers out there and their tutorials!
@nicky mouse 🙂 Thanks so much for saying hi, nicky mouse! Isn't Jen awesome? She's pretty much responsible for my recent obsession with trying to present myself better using makeup. And I'm really happy that you can embrace your petiteness. I may grumble about short legs at times but really I don't mind being little at all…there are lots worse things out there. Oh, don't forget to use your ipod to download apps with coupons! I'm loving the H&M; app right now for their occasional 20% off coupons.
^ Agreed, my BlackBerry is my baby. One beauty product I can't live without is my Too Faced Neutral Eye palette– its amazingly easy to use when I'm running late in the morning, which is every morning. Thanks for the great giveaway! 🙂
@Jackie Aw thank you Jackie. Hm I wonder what AntiRedness Serum is…Target has some nifty little things. I haven't accepted my paling skin yet but hopefully others on here will find that tip useful : )
@cat Ah, thank you! I've actually been looking for a sheer powder that is not white. My bare escentuals mineral veil doesn't do a thing.
@Laura Thanks doll for saying hi : ) And have you seen the AE cashmere cardigans on Alterations Needed? They look great on her and no one would guess it's AE.
@Alex I hope you have a wonderful holiday as well. Your words mean so much to me! I'm happy you stumbled upon me and the other petite bloggers…they do an amazing service of reviewing and sharing other fun and useful tips. Horrible, horrible for my wallet.
@AubreyOhDang! Oh, Aubrey you are funny. Looking fwd to meeting you in Dec. Is pumpkin latte part of their BOGO right now?
@Danielle That's a unique one!! I'm surprised no one mentioned it considering the latest movie. You're totally right…I'm all for things that make one feel magical, I was a total dork with avatar and watched it maybe 4 times straight.
@jjlee0422 I haven't tried one I didn't like yet and they keep popping up on sale or on sample websites! Thank you for your kind comment : )
One thing I cannot live without is my BlackBerry! It keeps me connected to everything 🙂
@milk tea polkadots You have a great blog too! And yes that is the "form" … just try again as I didn't see your ID on the entries.
@Cat at UW Good recommendation from the doc! I have super sensitive skin so that is good to know. I've never heard of that brand before though, wonder if it's sold at big box retailers or CVS.
@Stylepint I think it was just you, me and AN!
@PetiteXXS Omigosh, please don't say that lol. It's a small, happy milestone but there's been a lot more rewarding things in the grand scheme of blogging. And um the iPhone is amazing…now I just need to upgrade to get that self pic & bright flash feature to erase all my facial lines lol.
@Claud More love for LM TM and clairsonic! Okay one day I will jump on the bandwagon..maybe next year's Sephora F&F; lol.
@Archana @Erica @vyzie Thank you girls so much! Again I'm really excited to hear from new names.
Wow this is such a fabulous (and generous) giveaway! Thanks for putting it together!
My very favorite, can't-live-without product is Aquaphor. It's perfect for chapped lips / moisturizing cuticles without irritating my slightly sensitive skin.
It's so nice to hear from readers whom I've never heard from before! Thank you ladies so much for saying hi and for your kind words.
@Ada I've been interested in that ever since seeing it on I am style-ish! Rich now i'm using the cheapy version from ELF so I'm hoping to check that out next. And thank you!! : D
@The Little Dust Princess I have to say I love my Longchamp too. I don't care if it's not fashionable or trendy…but it has held up darn well for the amount of crap I shove into it. And aren't they great for extra storage during traveling? Fold down to almost nothing!
@Anna Mae Wow, (blush) I'm just a regular girl sharing my shopping finds on blogspot so that really means a lot to me. Thank you <3!
@Janet Hmm I've been looking for a new eye product to try to replace the NYC because I'm sure there's better products out there! I've been happy with some Revlon lip and nail products so I'm looking forward to trying this eye pen. Thank you Janet for the tip!
@Monica I know, right? I'm making a mental list for my next CVS or Target run. By the way another petite blogger mentioned how much she loved the J Crew Stadium Cloth trench coat but I cannot find it in petite sizing! Luck you…
hi! my favorite item is the water bank essence from laneige. this moisturizer packs a punch and smells really nice too! thanks for the great giveaway btw = )
Wowzers – so many favorite things and I loved reading through them all. Thank you guys for sharing!
@JordanNice!! I saw a lot of scuba pants on sale at LOFT this weekend with the extra 30% off…cross my fingers they have a better deal this T-giving!
@helen Oh I am so glad you found that red coat! One of the best deals ever for $35. I wore it every weekend before the temps here plummeted.
@Itsher No worries…I got rid of the other ID. And you can always re-sew the buttons on sturdy, that's a small price to pay for a coat that fits well!
@Pauline Lol, I don't suppose there is a difference between Asian and regular ducks. My mom makes this awesome duck that is cooked 100% in the microwave..crispy, salty skin…*dreams*
@Andrea Singapore sure qualifies! As long as your country does not prohibit shipment of any of these items I will be happy to ship there.
Hi! First off, I'd like to say that I can't believe I just discovered your blog just now (as how I felt the first time I discovered Jen's (of frmheadtotoe) blog and youtube channel just a few weeks ago as well) because you guys have beyond AMAZING and interesting posts that I can relate to a lot! Also, I love that you're SO stylish and pretty and very comfortable with your "petite-ness" since I've always struggled with accepting my height (though I am not very petite but not tall at all either). And now, because of you and Jen, I am really inspired to accept and just know how to work with what God has given me.
Anyway, to be honest, I never really cared about make up a lot before (like I just got really conscious with make up and all that glam early this year or something) and it was just lately that I discovered the beauty of it all. Sounds lame, I know haha. But yeah, right now I am obsessed with it although I still couldn't afford to get all the make up that I want (for instance, the R&R; contrived pressed blush that I also discovered through Jen) haha. So basically, most of the make up that I own right now are sort of cheap ones you could get from Walmart or Target. Heee. 🙂 But I have to say that my favorite thing right now would be my ipod touch 4 that was given to me as a gift for my birthday. When I shop, it comes in handy when I need a calculator before going to the cashier (haha), when I'm really bored, I could play games and of course, listen to music, it's also great for when I want to tweet and check my facebook (saves me the hassle of opening the pc) and best of all, I could take pictures with it! I recommend it to everyone because it's really worth the money (and I'm not in any way affiliated with Apple, btw hehe). I just wanted to share that. 🙂
Basically, that's all for now. Your page is already bookmarked in my server and I can't wait to read more of your posts! Keep doing what you do, inspire more people and more power to you! Stay pretty and chic! 🙂
This is such a generous giveaway! How nice of you 🙂 My fave beauty product has got to be Laura Mercier "Secret Concealer"..it is absolutely amazing. I little dab= so much coverage/extra moisture for those sleepy morning eyes!
HI! i am an avid follower. i didnt know that i could comment using google! sweetness 😀

i hope i win! but if i do, i wont know what to do with the makeup as i've never put anything on before – BUT i hope it can inspire me to learn!
Aw you're my go-to petite fashion guru & I'm grateful for your meticulously prepared blog posts, honest reviews, and down-to-earth personality.
Hmm one of my current fav things are blush & bronzer.. esp bc my skin get's lighter and looks more dull in the winter 😛

One of my fave beauty items is Neutrogena's "Soothing Lip Sheers" mostly because they feel so good. They're also sheer, and good for a little color without being overpowering. I wear Cool Nectar because it matches my lips pretty much exactly.
Thank you so much for this site!! I live up North and constantly suffer from chapped lips. Carmex lip balm really does the trick for me, and it's cheap.
Right now my favorite thing is my sheepskin boots. They might be ugly, but my toes are so warm! 🙂
That's great that you've been doing this over a year! My favorite things right now are this shampoo and conditioner I bought from the Body Shop!
One of my favorite gadgets is my new iPhone4
It has really helped simplify my life. I use it to organize, go on the internet, keep phone numbers and addresses, and so much more.

Hi Jean. Thank you for the giveaway. It looks so nice, and it feels so warm. 🙂 Have a happy Thanksgiving, duck or turkey.
One of my favorite things I'd like to share is the Aveeno Moisturizing lotion. (the regular kind, the kind that comes in big pumps and sells really really cheap.) I have sensitive skin. My hands 10 years ago looked like it got plagued all the time. It looked very dry and old. After I discovered the lotion, I never switched to anything else. It was the most powerful skin care product I have ever discovered. Try it if you haven't. I preach this product to ALL my good friends and relatives.
Hi! My favorite thing (or set of things rather) is the Harry Potter series. I know I'm kind of going out of left field with this one (I'm sort of new to the makeup world) but this makes me incredibly happy. I think anything that makes you feel magical, and young at heart, makes you more beautiful. ^_^
Thanks Jeans for giving me an opportunity to share!
my one favourite thing right now is my urban decay naked palette! its actually so pretty i dont even want to use it!! ahhhh!
Thanks for the giveaway! My favorite thing is definately the Shu Uemura eylash curler! It curls my lashes so perfectly and the curl stays all day!

5. Pumpkin Latte from Starbucks (the only time I drink Starbucks/coffee-base drinks is during holiday season)
one of my favorite things is my daisy by marc jacobs perfume!
For winter, my favourite beauty product is Stella perfume by Stella McCartney. Such an exquisite rose fragrance!
Jean, you were the first petite bloger that I stumbled upon a few months ago and among petite blogers you are still my fave. Thanks for your great posts and for introducing me to all the other wonderful blogs.
Have a great holiday!
I found your blog a few weeks ago and I can't get enough! 🙂
My favorite thing right now is my American Eagle cashmere cardigan. I got it last year, and it has been so great for work and on the weekends! Definitely a versatile piece!
Nice giveaway! I love shiseido blot papers.. my absolute necessity for having matte photo-ready skin 🙂
Thanks for the giveaway! One of my favorite things is my brown leather j.crew skinny belt- it's well-made and fits my petite waist quite nicely.
Hi Jean,
Thanks for hosting such an awesome giveaway, and your wonderful blog. It's always such an inspiration and so much fun to read!
My favourite item is my MAC blotting powder in medium dark. It's light and translucent but gives a polished finish.
Your blog is one of my daily reads. <3 it! My favorite item is nail polish, particularly OPI's Parlez-vous OPI?
Jean! What a great idea for a giveaway!!
Your blog is one of my favorite reads!!
But I have to plug a beauty product: I LOVE this stuff that comes in a little white bottle called Expert AntiRedness Serum. I believe it's only sold at Target but it's AWESOME for pale skin like mine =D
