J.Crew blazer (current version), BR shirt (similar gingham in petites & on sale)
J.Brand jeans, Zara heels (similar), Prada tote

Happy Friday! Sharing one of my easy, go-to outfits from Instagram as well as a few Columbus Day weekend sales as they are rolling in. Be sure to check back as I'll be updating here with new sales as well as any reviews...

J.Brand - take 25% off cropped style jeans with code CROP25, with free everyday shipping. I often look for cropped or ankle styles as they may turn out to be a perfect fit on shorter legs without alterations. Most of these cropped styles have a listed inseam of 26 to 27 inches which is what I usually look for.

J.Crew - *Update* free shipping with no minimum at J.Crew & Factory (including the petites gingham shirt linked above), Monday only. 30% on most items with code WEEKEND. This is the best discount I've seen their signature lady day coat (see on me) on sale for yet this year, and sizes and colors are already going. I'm in need of a classic camel coat and am seriously considering the lady day again in their new dark camel color. Other versatile items included in sale - layering tops like the vintage tee (I'm constantly in the heather graphite one), petite down vest (see fit on me), and their popular Cambridge cable sweater in a host of color choices. I also have their Regent coat in ivory in a 00P - see a quick try-on photo here.

Banana Republic - 40% off your purchase with code BRSAVE, with up to 50% off select winter essentials. I recently picked up these sloan-fit charcoal trousers which have a nice, medium-weight tweedy texture to them (see on my Instagram).

Old Navy - extra 30% off all items including sale, no code needed (discount reflected in cart), or use code YOUCHOOSE for 40% off 1 item. I just saw they make puffer vests in petite sizing in tons of colors for just $25, and this tipped open poncho is also under $25.

Ann Taylor - 40% off full-priced items & extra 60% off sale items with SHOPFALL. A few items on extra sale that have good reviews and are still in stock in petite sizes: polka dot cardiganchevron shirtdress.

Express - 40% off sweaters, jeans, and outerwear, prices as marked. This is stackable with their $25 off evert $100 you spend promo, using code 1323.

Anthropologie - take 20% off dresses with code DRESSCODE. You can filter by size - they carry down to xxsp / 00p.

    1. Hi Ann - I wouldn't want to suggest the wrong size so would recommend you calling their customer service or talking to live chat online and getting the exact measurements for a few sizes. Their CS are able to provide that for all items and sizes.

  7. Hi Jean - have you tried this year's J Crew Lady Day Coat? I noticed there is a P000 now. I'm wondering if the size has changed?!

    1. Hi - no I haven't, but I have tried on another coat in both 00 and 000 petite and the new size 000 is definitely smaller. I stuck to my usual 00p.

  11. What size is your Lady Day Coat? Thanks!

  12. A significant number petite items during Banana Republic's sale are more expensive than the regular sizing. (Ex. $30 vs $60)

    1. I know, a lot of brands do that and claim it's because markdowns are due to inventory levels, etc...it makes sense from a business perspective but is disappointing nonetheless as a petite shopper!

  13. Hi Jean - did you keep the white Jcrew coat you purchased from the last sale?

  14. I try to place an order for the J. Crew lady coat but it wont take the weekend code because it was a newer item, so sad...

  15. Hi Jean! I've been a huge fan of your blog/instagram/facebookpage/everything you do for over a year now but this is the first time I'm bold enough to leave an actual comment. I actually have a fashion and wedding evernotebook with my boyfriend and a lot of what you post is pinned in there =] I especially lovedddd your wedding pictures and really appreciate how detailed all of your posts are! I've just started medical school in LA and have actually started a little fan base with my friends who are now also obsessed with your blog. =] I guess my question is, what size is your J crew blazer in this picture and did you have to do any alterations if you bought a petite size? The camel color really looks great =] Thanks in advance!

    1. Hi Serena! Thank you so much for your sweet comment! My J.Crew blazer is a 00 petite and I believe they now make it in a 000 petite. I didn't need to get any alterations and thought it fit well with room for layering. Hope this helps and best of luck to you in med school!

  18. Hi Jean, What color Michael Kors medium - Sutton Satchel would you recommend? Navy or Luggage color? I looked everywhere for a berry color like yours but could not locate it. Thanks! Barb

    1. Hi Barb! I don't think you can go wrong with navy or luggage brown - I have bags in both colors and wear them on regular rotation. I might be a little partial to the brown since I love the richness it adds to outfits.
