Easy & Delicious Apple Pie Filling

Ingredients

  • 6 large apples cut up
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • juice of half a lemon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Mix everything together in a large bowl.
  • Fill pie crust of your choice.
  • Bake for about 40 minutes, until crust is browned and filling is bubbling.

Notes

Tip: Cover the outer edges of the crust with foil so they don't burn, and remove during the last 10 minutes of baking.
PS - since posting this recipe, I've been increasing the amounts of vanilla extract and cinnamon if you really like those flavors (up to 1 teaspoon each)!
