It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is around the corner! To kick off holiday outfit ideas, I wanted to share this festive sequin find under $60 that’s surprisingly comfortable and can be styled a couple different ways. If sequins are not your style, both of these outfits also work beautifully with a satin slip skirt.

Below I’ve styled the sequin skirt for a dressier event, as well as for a more cozy festive vibe. The cozy option is right up my alley since I love the juxtaposition of something oversized and soft with a fitted piece in a different texture. I’m excited to wear it for a dinner coming up, and you can also swap in flats to dress it down further for a house party.

A great option that won’t break the bank. This has a stretchy, fully elastic waistband with a slim fit and is fully lined so it’s comfortable and not scratchy at all. I like that the individual sequin pieces are small, giving it a more refined, sparkling look.

I’m wearing XXS in all of these photos, but ended up sizing up to XS when I got a second color (brown) fora more comfortable fit and a less fitted look around my hips and rear end. For reference, my waist is currently around 25 to 25.5″ around

XXS measures: 24″ around the waist, 31.5″ long.

XS measures: 25.5″ around the waist, 32″ long.

1. Cozy Glam

I did silver heels here for extra shine, but this look also worked well with neutral shoes!.

Everlane Sweater

This sweater is an old favorite of mine, with an oversized fit in the perfect neutral “Almond” color. It’s been a winter wardrobe essential of mine for several years now, and can easily be dressed up or dressed down. This sweater has a slight itch factor the first few times I wore it and softens up a bit over time. I usually wear it over a layer for everyday wear so it didn’t bother me.

For outfits like this I love using a tucking band for a comfortable and customizable way to keep a chunkier knit tucked in all night!

2. Sleek & Elegant

Reformation Ezlynn Top

I’m a huge fan of Reformation “better than basic” tops (like the Clarke – a longtime EP fave) and this silhouette is a winner. The twist front combined with an off shoulder cut is very elegant, and the sleeves don’t easily ride up when you move your arms.

The XS fits true to size, but since my usual size is xxs this is a little big on me. It works, but would work even better if it were a tighter fit all around, so I might sew a hand stitch to where the armholes are to tighten that area.

Lovely outfits as ever. How do you deal with the itch factor of the sweater under the bra band? Do you wear the bra over a layer?

Thank you! That’s a great question. Since I’ve worn this Everlane sweater for several years now it doesn’t itch me anymore. To address that potential issue, I’d suggest doing this only with a sweater that’s comfortable against your skin or trying your suggestion of wearing a bra over a layer, like a thin tank!
