Mango Spring Finds // water-repellent trench coat

Mango trench coat review

Today I’m partnering with Mango to share a few winners from my recent order! What I love about each of these pieces (classic trench, chunky striped knit, and chic black top) is that they can be mixed and matched in a number of ways and would be solid additions to a capsule wardrobe. Mango now has to option to shop with Klarna, allowing you to purchase and pay in four installments.

Water-Repellent Classic Trench

This coat has all of the classic trench features and as a bonus is water-repellent! It’s made of 100% cotton fabric with a medium weight, poplin-like feel with some structure to it – this is the type of fabric that when you pop the collar it stays up. The fit of the xxs is just slightly long in the sleeves on me (5 ft.) but works well with a casual fit when layered over sweaters.

It comes in both this olive green and a classic khaki color which is sold out of some sizes right now but I’ve seen it does get restocked regularly. If you already have a khaki-colored trench in your wardrobe, I find olive to be a nice addition that adds a little color but still pairs easily with lots of neutrals.

Sweetheart Top

Solid black tops with a slightly sexier neckline are a closet staple for me – I’ve collected a few with square neck, portrait neck, and now this one with a slightly gathered sweetheart neckline. Tops like this look great simply tucked into high rise jeans for a night out, and can also work for more creative or casual workplaces tucked into pants. The sleeves on this top in xxs are a bit long on me but can be pushed up.

Chunky Knit Sweater (also in half zip)

Not pictured in this post, but I’ll be showing this soon and wanted to share while most sizes were in stock! I live in chunky striped knits with jeans or leggings 3 seasons out of the year. XXS is an oversized and slouchy fit on someone petite, but I personally love the look and weight of this. The dark navy and white color combo is timeless. This also comes in a half zip pullover version with two color choices.

Double Breasted Blazer (2 colors)

I usually gravitate towards neutrals, but for a fun pop of color I wanted to share this blazer! It was nice quality throughout with a high-end feeling fabric and the XXS was a pretty good fit on me, with just the sleeves being a little long. If you can’t stray from neutrals, this same blazer also comes in black.

Thank you to Mango for partnering on this post.

Do you have any photos showcasing long skirts for petite women? For i.e. suits with long skirts or knee length or ankle lenth skirts.

I don’t believe I have any examples of suits with skirts longer than knee length, but if you look through my past workwear posts (you can filter for those at the top of the blog under fashion – outfits by occasion) I have some past work-appropriate outfits with pencil skirts. Another option would be to search the blog for ‘maxi skirt’, though those will typically be more casual looks

Heads up #1 These Express pants in the color Swan have been sold out in all sizes for a long time, so disappointing.
Heads up #2 I ordered the same size I used to get when I bought their Columnist Ankle Pants. They were around two sizes too big. Personally I didn’t have the time to keep re-order and try on multiple sizes, so I paid the shipping to return.

Thank you for sharing! The swan color recently restocked but went quickly in petite sizing, I’ve been keeping an eye on them in hopes that they have another restock soon
