Earlier this year I shared 4 ways to style a sweater dress, and have been looking for other ways to maximize wear with pieces in my existing wardrobe! Slightly cropped cardigans with a slouchier fit have been a staple of mine this year. I usually wear mine simply half tucked in the front, but have been experimenting and wanted to share 6 different ideas for styling a piece like this! See my Instagram video at the bottom of this post.
My exact cardigan here is by Vero Moda in XS (older color but comes in lots of new options), and I also have this Everlane one in XXS which is a thicker and chunkier cotton knit. I’ve also checked out this $25 H&M cardigan sweater in person which is a great similar, budget friendly option in several colors!
1. Smart Casual
2. Upside Down, Open (shawl effect)
3. Upside Down, Buttoned (bolero effect)
4. Backwards
5. Business Casual
6. Everyday Casual

These outfits looks so gorgeous and elegant! btw love the cardigan sweater.
Wow! Never knew a cardigan can be styled like these<3 Can't wait to try these styling tips by myself!
Love this! I dread going back to the office as it is absolutely freezing all year and I need to pull something on when the AC is blasting. It’s especially a pain during the heat of summer when all you want to wear is a light outfit! It usually ends up being a cardigan, as that’s the easiest choice. It’s great to have different ideas on how to use them. I’d love to see if you have any suggestions on how to deal with this hot/cold variance issue. Thank you for the inspiration!
How clever! I would never have thought of upside down and backwards! I love that cardigan and I picked up the Ann Taylor suede wide leg pants awhile back and love them! Love them with that cardigan too. This is a great post as sometimes I feel cardigans are out of style, but it’s just the way you style them! Thanks so much!
