Ways to wear it: Crossover White Blouse

petite workwear navy pants boston blogger

A crossover draped blouse can be one of the most versatile work-to-weekend pieces, and this one (comes in several colors) has some extra feminine details including a silky finish and pearlized buttons along the sleeves. One of my personal favorite features is that the bottom is banded and elasticized so you don’t have to worry about tucking or if it’ll come untucked! The band creates the illusion of a perfectly tucked look regardless of what type of bottoms you pair it with.

Note that the “swan” color I have is lightweight and slightly sheer so I always wear a skin-toned bra with it. If you want more opaque coverage, I’ve been eying the black as another versatile option. The top also has shoulder pads that took me by surprise at first but it does help add structure and definition. Below are a few ways I’d style a blouse like this – which one is your favorite?

1. Dressed Up

Draped blouse xxs, tweed mini skirt (runs small for the brand – 00 fits a 24″ waist)

2. Business Casual

These bootcut trousers fit like a dream – definitely one of the most flattering bottoms I’ve bought in a while with no alterations needed on me. I’ve been pretty happy with a few their pants lately (thank you “short” inseam), all of which happen to be fairly wrinkle resistant too:

Hi Jean! Just wanted to say I just received my EP Belt in the mail and I LOVE it! I’ve searching for an alternative to the Talbot’s belt for YEARS and I was so excited to see that you included one in your line. Keep up the great work! 🙂

Glad to see how you’re styling the bootcut trousers. I bought them in 00 short and I’m very slim but wow the hip/thigh part was big on me. It bagged out to the sides and looked so strange. Maybe I need a good belt like the EP belt to wear it higher waisted, looking forward to restock

I just bought this top in “black print” and it was such a pleasant surprise! I definitely didn’t expect the shoulder pads, but it does improve the overall shape. And as you said the elasticized waist is a really nice detail 💕

I bought 2 at Christmas but the quality was off – they both had different parts that were sewn badly and puckered funny in different areas. The drapey neckline was twisted then sewn on one side and the other on had a weird pucker on the shoulder. I was bummed because they were so pretty otherwise.

Hi Lissa, so sorry to hear this! Hopefully it was a quality issue that’s been resolved and I hope they were able to exchange them for tops without any issues!

Please consider offering the belt with nickel- or silver hardware. I am one of many who just do not wear gold at all. The metal tone is the sole reason I have not purchased the EP belt.
