I’m so excited to share a small Edited Pieces droplet arriving this week! I’m still ironing out some technical things, but it’ll be up either this Wednesday or Thursday, and email subscribers will get a heads up one day prior. I wanted to share some sizing info in advance, so anyone interested has time to measure your wrist or get other fit help!
Also, we have a few small restocks of our reversible Horsebit Belt, Duo coat, Nora bracelet, and Constance necklace coming up. Email notifications will go out to those on the restock list in chronological order of signup. You can find my fit notes in this post and also videos on my Instagram story highlights. As a reminder, the Duo coat is an oversized, coatigan style fit and would likely be too big for someone who has a smaller frame than me. Also, the Horsebit belt runs a bit smaller than some customers expected, so please be sure to use a measuring tape around your waist (over the waistband on a pair of jeans or a dress) and reference our size chart online before ordering!
1. Midi Skirt + Mockneck Sweater Set
About the set:
Two versatile neutral knit staples that can be worn together as a dress, or separately many different ways! In a soft-against-the-skin modal yarn blend with lots of stretch. Our knits maker is just as particular as I am and helped rigorously test this for stretch without stretching out, comfort, wash and wear.
I used to always be a pencil skirt gal, so this knit skirt (bump friendly!) has helped fill that void without sacrificing any comfort. When “wear testing” this set, I had it on for 12+ hours for everything from sitting on the playmat to squatting by the bathtub bathing the kids. The sturdy wide elastic waistband can be worn normally for a longer midi length, or folded down as pictured above for a slightly shorter knee length. Oftentimes knit skirts are a little too butt hugging for my liking, so this has a slightly more relaxed fit that gently skims curves. Pair it with a simple black turtleneck, cotton tee (pictured here), or drapey button up shirt for workwear. Swap in a silky cami for drinks, or try it with a knotted tee shirt and leather sneakers for on-the-go. The carefully placed slit shows a little leg but is still classic and office-friendly.
Our mockneck top has a slightly slouchy, drop shouldered fit, with a semi cropped length for pairing with high waisted jeans, bottoms and skirts without excess bulk or tucking needed at the waist. The mock neckline is wide and comfortable, with plenty of stretch so it slips easily over your head and is never too restrictive-feeling around the neck.
Both pieces are also machine washable for easy care! In general, I always recommend turning knits inside out and placing inside a mesh garment bag if possible before washing on cold. For drying, I do either air dry, lay flat to dry on a mesh rack, or machine dry on low. Please note that when knits are machine dried, they tend to shrink a bit but may stretch back out with wear.
Sizing: XXS to L, with a petite-friendly sleeve length and shorter torso length on the top.
True to size. For customers who are typically in between two sizes, you can size down as the pieces have a lot of stretch to them.
1. Naomi Bracelet
About the bracelet: Sterling silver with a rhodium plating to prevent tarnish, and high quality CZ stones.
So excited about this one! Slim but eye catching, and in a size suitable even for very narrow wrists. I went back and forth ENDLESSLY on the stone size and lengths, before picking a winner with 3mm wide stones (subtle but sparkly) and 3 lengths to ensure a good fit. I do want to emphasize that this is a slim, subtly sized little bracelet that may appear larger in photos or videos because my wrists are on the smaller side.
If there’s enough interest, we might also make this in gold and our Nora bracelet in silver!
Sizing: available in 6 inch, 6.5 inch, or 7 inch. Not adjustable in length.
Please note that the measurements are taken end-to-end and include a 0.25″ long clasp, so the actual circumference of the bracelet when clasped together is a little shorter. Also, you want to leave a little wiggle room to put the bracelet on and off. For fit reference, the model on our website wears the 6 inch Naomi bracelet on a wrist that measures 5.5″ around.
If you wear our 6″ Nora bracelet on the tightest setting, I’d recommend the 6 inch Naomi bracelet.
If you wear our 6″ Nora bracelet on the loosest setting, I’d recommend the 6.5″ Naomi bracelet.
If you wear our 7″ Nora bracelet on the tightest setting, I’d recommend the 7″ Naomi bracelet.
the link for the sweater set isnโt working
Hi Lisa, sorry for the confusion! The link for the sweater set will be down until the new color launches at noon today (2/24). I’ll be sure to update the links once they’re available!
Will you be restocking the sweater set? I need a XS!! I want this so badly. Love this color and hope for more colors. Thank you.
Hi Elli, if you haven’t already please sign up for restock notifications as we have a few more coming in! We’ll also be offering the set in navy, coming soon!
Hi Jean,
I got a message saying the gold necklace was back in stock, but when I tried the link to order it, it did not work. I was on the waitlist–is it still available?
Thanks!
Amy
Hi Amy, so sorry for the delayed reply on this, I’m just catching up on comments now! You may have already sorted this out, but if not the Constance necklace is currently available! xx
Hi Jean. I received my sweater set yesterday. Very quick shipping! It fits perfectly. Thank you for your help. I can’t wait to wear it!
I’m so happy to hear that you love it, Rebecca!!
I canโt wait for the sweater set to restock. I was online an hour after the drop and all the stalls were sold out already.
So sorry to hear that, Kathy. If you aren’t already, please make sure to sign-up for restock notifications as we have just a small restock in the works. And stay tuned as we have some variations of the set coming in the new year!
Will you be restocking the sweater set? I have been reading your blog for years; this is the only fashion blog I visit! I have the edited pieces newsletter but I’m too slow to get anything so far. Glad that your launch seems to be going so well, and looking forward to restocks!
We have a very small restock coming, but will definitely be making variations of this is different colors with plenty of stock early next year, so stay tuned!
Hi Jean,
So thrilled you have launched Edited Pieces. Iโm currently on waiting list for Nora bracelet and reversible horsebit belt. Canโt wait for the boots to drop because I have the hardest time finding knee high boots. Would you consider offering a basic white tee that isnโt transparent or baggy/boxy. Or a blanket style scarf that doesnโt fit like a blanket?
Thanks for all your great advice over the years and for listening too!
Happy holidays to you and your beautiful family
Thanks so much for your excitement and interest, Kathy! Weโll keep your suggestions in mind ๐ happy holidays!
So cute – but just found out I cannot order due to the fact the shipping carriers do not ship to Alaska:((
So sorry for your disappointment, Kristin. We’re working on getting shipping to Alaska. Thanks for your patience!!
Anybody wanting to trade their XXS coat for my XS coat, please let me know ๐
Love this sweater set! But, those boots, Jean. Me and my narrow calfโs need them in our life lol. Canโt wait for that drop!!
So happy to hear you’re excited for these, Jewel!
For the sweater set, will we be able to pick two separate sizes for the top and bottom, or just one for the whole set?
Hi Karin, these pieces are only available as a set in a single size at this time!
I love every single piece I’ve seen from the collection so far, Jean! These are no different. Just drooling over the knit collection in sizing that would actually fit petite proportions. I don’t live in the States but I hope to be one of the first Canadians to purchase if you are one day able to ship up north!
Thank you so much, Amita. I’m so glad to hear that you love the collection and we really appreciate your patience while we work on sorting out shipping to Canada. Happy holidays!
Would love some details in them boots Jean so i can start saving money!! Lol.
Thanks so much for your interest, Judy! The boots will start in size 4 and are designed with petite / narrow calf customers in mind. They’ll be available in both this mushroom color and black
I can’t wait!
Thanks for the update. I also cannot wait!
I can hardly wait to see if I can pick up that sweater set for me. Your body looks flawless in it!
You are always too kind Val, thank you!! I hope you and your family are doing well this holiday season xx
Where are the boots from?
The boots are also Edited Pieces and will be coming soon in a future drop ๐
Can you pls email me if the sweater skirt/ mock neck sweater set is available in xxs? Canโt find it in the website.
Hi Ida, apologies for the confusion on this! The set hasn’t yet launched, so isn’t currently on the site. We will carry it in xxs and hope to launch the pieces tomorrow (Thursday). If you sign up for the Edited Pieces newsletter you’ll receive an email as soon as the collection is available!
Thanks! I signed up for the newsletter already.
Hi Jean, Do you recommend sizing up for wearing over a bump.
Congratulations! Because the knit fabric has such good stretch to it I wouldn’t recommend sizing up, even for a bump!
Thank you for making bracelets for small wrists. I always have to have links removed from bracelets and watches.
So glad this is a piece that resonates with you! xx
Jean – I am loving the drop shoulder cut of the sweater!! I saw another comment asking about shoulder placement, but they must have missed the style notes. This drop-shoulder list has all the hallmarks of relaxed sophistication! One question – will you be making this in other colors? Forest blue/green or a heather grey or black? I have tried so many times to wear this blush/beige shade and it just washes me out. Also, do you see a midi dress (maybe sleeveless) for the summer in the future? ๐ Can’t wait for the drop! -Gwen
Hi Gwen, it’s always so wonderful to hear from you! I hope you and your family are doing well and enjoying the holiday season! I really appreciate you input, I definitely agree that this shade of neutral is not for every skin tone. At this time it’s the only color we have for the set, but we are working on a broader range of knit pieces in other colors. We hear your suggestion for other colors and a midi / sleeveless dress – stay tuned for what we have in the works ๐
Will you have more casual pieces in the future?
Hi Jill, are there any specific pieces you’d love to see?
I’ve been wanting to buy a tennis bracelet for a while now. I went to a jewelry store and they all were huge. How do we order your bracelet?
Love your attention to detail, fit, quality, and style! Itโs so apparent all the thought and hard work you put into each piece. Thank you, Jean! And congratulations!
Thank you, Thanh!
Love the midi set but don’t have occasions to wear it. Would love the top in black.
Thank you for sharing your input, Betty!
So excited! One question- in the photos, it looks like the shoulders on the knit top hit below your natural shoulder. I was told the actual stitching for the shoulder should hit your shoulder, but I can never find this in regular sizes. Do you think you will address shoulder placement in your collection?
Hi Mara, the style of the top is a drop shoulder so it has an intentionally lower shoulder for a more relaxed vibe. I hope this answers your question!
The sweater set is beautiful! What brand are the boots you’re wearing?
Thank you Patti! The boots are also Edited Pieces and will be coming soon ๐
So excited for this droplet! I will keep my eyes open for emails and hope I don’t miss it this time! I would love to get the whole collection, but for sure the sweater set and coat if available this time around. Thanks so much for all of your hard work!
Thank you April! I’m always so appreciative of your support and kind words xx
Hey Jean! Super excited about the knitwear set! Quick question about the thickness of the skirt – can it be worn with regular underwear, or would you recommend shapewear or something that doesn’t show lines easily?
Hi Betty! The skirt is a medium thickness. You don’t necessarily need to wear shapewear, but I always advise wearing seamless underwear with knit bottoms
Would be very interested in Nora bracelet in silver!
Noted! Thank you for letting me know ๐
Me too!
Jean, these look amazing! I love the Duo Coat, and am hoping to be able to buy the Horsebit belt when it restocks. This mockneck and midi set also looks amazing; chic, office friendly, and date night friendly! I noticed in some of your most recent posts you seem to be wearing a similar mockneck in black. Will this midi set be available in multiple colors?
Thank you Danielle, I’m so glad to hear that you love the Duo Coat! At this time, this latte color is the only one we have but we definitely have other colors in the works for future pieces ๐
Are there any specific colors that you’d love to see in styles like this?
I would love to see an emerald green set, as quality pieces in rich jewel tones are hard to find, but are so flattering on Southeast Asian and olive skin tones like mine. Black, burgundy, and terra cotta colored sets would be wonderful as well, as I love the idea of incorporating colorful neutrals. Thank you for your hard work! Excited for this next droplet!
Amazing thanks! What are your boots? Appreciate any boot recommendations for knee highs!
It’s so hard to find knee high boots for a petite frame, I’m afraid I don’t have any recommendations at the moment. The boots I’m wearing in these photos are Edited Pieces and will be launching soon!
I havenโt taken the Nora bracelet off since it arrived ! Iโm so excited !!!!! And yes to it being made in silver ๐
I’m so glad to hear that Trinity! Such an encouragement to hear that you’re loving our pieces
