My inbox has been filled with requests for holiday party looks, as it sounds like many of us are looking forward to celebrating with family and friends for the first time in a long time! Today I’m partnering with Express to share a few well-fitting, elegant finds that are part of their early Cyber Week deal (40% off everything). Each look in this post is fully stocked starting in xxs petite as of now!
1. Draped Midi Dress (5+ colors) on sale!
Petite & Regular sizes, in ivory, red, black, dark blue, sequins and more!
A classic cap sleeve sheath dress with a higher mock-style neckline that drapes elegantly across the upper chest. The cut of this dress is slim fit and pretty fitted at the waistband on me, so I would say it runs a little small compared to other styles at Express and similar brands. It’s made of a lightweight crepe fabric which is non-stretch, and I love the length of this one which hits just below my knees (I’m 5′ tall).
2. Cross-back Jumpsuit (also in red)
Petite & Regular sizes
This is a piece that also looks elegant but is actually super comfortable and forgiving due to the stretchy velvet fabric and elastic waistline! So I’d recommend this one if you have a night of munching on treats or dancing involved. It’s designed to be worn with the boat neckline in the front, but I flipped it around and actually loved the other way around! The crossover style, when worn in the front, has the added bonus of being nursing friendly. It also comes with a decorative crystal chain that removes using little lobster claw clips if you wear the cross neck at your back.
The xxs petite in this jumpsuit hits right at my ankles and looks so chic paired with heels or lower shoes as well. The jumpsuit comes with a sash belt which you can wear as is, or swap out for a leather belt to change up the look. Last but certainly not least – I love that it has pockets!
Thank you to Express for partnering on this post.
Nice black jumpsuits for holidays.
Hi Jean! I find red a challenging color to wear. Would you mind sharing makeup tips, specifically lip colors you recommend when wearing red or other bright colors? Thanks!
Hi Stephanie! I usually just go for something neutral, but also love a bold red lip in the same tone of red as the clothing
