Favorites Lately: Comfiest Wireless Bras (Petite & Pregnancy Friendly)

Barely Zero Bra Thin Strap in Cinnamon Taste vs. Classic Strap c/o. code Jean for 20% off // Denim sz 24, hems cut

Those who follow along on IG know I’ve been on a mission to revamp my undergarment drawer, swapping out my old stretched out underwear and structured bras to make room for ONLY the comfiest pieces that can worn all day and night. I’ve tried a bunch of styles thanks to your recommendations, and wanted to share some from a new-to-me brand that I’ve been seriously impressed by!

For today’s post I’m partnering with Neiwai (Mandarin meaning “inside & out”), an Asian brand that recently became available in the US. My family members in Asia ranging from my younger cousin to older aunts love their products, so I’m stoked we can now get them here too! They gave me code Jean for 20% off, and offer free shipping over $50 and free returns.

2021 Spaghetti Strap Bra in Cinnamon Taste (left) and Treacly Almond (middle) vs. 2020 Classic strap bra in nude

Barely Zero Bra & Underwear

One Size Seamless Bras

This is their extremely comfy and unique “one size” design that stretches to fit and support your body through weight fluctuations, even through pregnancy and postpartum! It c
omes in two different strap styles: Classic (wider strap) or Spaghetti (thin adjustable strap).

After trying these out for a good amount of time, I can vouch that both are comfy enough to wear all day long and even sleep in. You’ll probably want at least one of each style – the Spaghetti is great for wearing under tanks, but you can’t beat the seamless comfort and wider strap support of the Classic for wearing under everything else! Both are designed with no clasp or closure, and slip on over your head. While I don’t think the “one size” will work perfectly for everyone, I’ve had friends who range from a traditional 32A to 36D try this bra on with only great feedback so far.

A few other features:

  • Smooth laser-cut style fabric that’s stretchy in all directions
  • Super lightweight – you’ll forget you’re wearing a bra
  • Has removable lightly padded shaped cups
  • Bonus: not a nursing bra, but due to the stretch it’s easy for me to nurse in simply by lifting up the bottom of the bra, or by pulling the top part down if pads are removed.

Share & Save with friends or family (Under $30 per set)

The entire Barely Zero collection has a buy more, save more bundling option when you purchase multiple bras or underwear with a bra. Uniquely, these bundles can work well for splitting with friends or family to try, since the bras and underwear are one size fits all! My MIL saw mine, was intrigued, and happily got a set of the Classic.

The best value for their Classic strap bra is their holiday bundle with 3 sets of bras + seamless briefs that comes out to only $28 per set after applying code Jean. To get the best value for the newer Spaghetti strap bra, you can purchase the 3-pack bra + 3-pack brief which average out to about $30 per set after discounts!

One Size Seamless Briefs

Available in Low waist (which is still a mid rise by many standards) and Mid waist (prior year version on sale), or as part of bundles. I really like the fit and rise of the mid waist on me, and several reviewers mention wearing it well into pregnancy due to the stretch! I do think these would fit someone who is typically an XS – M best, since it may not be snug enough to appear completely seamless from the outside layer when worn on someone who is typically a smaller XXS.

100% recycled, gift-able packaging for their newer 2021 wireless bra that can easily be reused to hold trinkets.

Other items to check out:
  • Pure Comfort Soft Modal Bra (runs small): For a petite-friendly, more traditional wireless bra with a little structure to it and removable padding. Pls consult their size chart, as sizing runs small compared to US sizes. Size XS in this bra is actually a 28B / 30A, a Small in this bra is labeled 32A on the tag, and Medium is labeled 34B.
  • Thermal underwear set – fluid and smooth feeling, and not too long! Size S fits well on me.
  • They also make men’s boxer briefs, which Nick is now intrigued by!

Thank you to NEIWAI for partnering on this post.

Hi Jean – Thank you for the excellent recommendation. I wear a 34B and found that the bras are super comfortable and don’t ride up. Same with the high waisted briefs – very comfortable and stay in place.

Thanks for the code, Jean! I bought a set for myself and ended up liking them so much that I bought a set for my mother. In case it’s helpful for others, I’m 32DDD and these provide enough support for working from home and lounging but I haven’t worn them outside yet. The briefs were also cut a tad bit lower than I thought. I’m ok with them but my 72 year old mother didn’t like them. Also, I think if your hips are larger than 40” these might be a bit too tight.

Just received a Classic (last year’s) style and cannot thank you enough for the JEAN code! I even wrote to Neiwai to mention your blog and thank them for making these.

Eagerly waiting to see if I love the newer one with a thin strap, too. I almost didn’t order anything because the photos of the cups — worried that even with padding removed, it would look unnatural on my tiny chest. (I’m 28 to 30B.) But I didn’t want a one size to completely flatten me, either, or show off my uneven sides without pads. It is as comfy as you said & it looks looks surprisingly natural. The pads are flattering and I rarely wear padded bras. Ok, I rarely wear bras if I can get away with it. But now I even imagine lounging with just a Classic one as a top on a warm day around the house. Curious if anyone has tried the lacier bras or swimsuits?

Wow Cam, this is wonderful to hear! I’m so glad to know you’ve had such a positive experience with them.

I haven’t had a chance to try their other products, but perhaps another reader has and can share their thoughts.

Hi Jean! I don’t see an area to enter the promo code during checkout. There is only one field called ‘giftcard’ and I tried to enter JEAN and Jean and neither worked. Am I totally blind and not seeing where to enter this. Help! Thanks!

    • Jean | Extra Petite wrote:

Hi Susan! The space to enter it should be just before you hit pay now, under the order summary section. When I go through the steps I see a space to ‘add a discount code or a gift card’. Hope this helps!

The spaghetti strap ones fold down from the top a little easier so I’ve been mostly wearing that one while nursing, but both have been pretty easy to lift up from the bottom.

My neiwai came today. True and co + Calvin klein seamless bralette are similar in comfort but provide more support. If you are still trying to revamp the undergarment closet, you can try them out. True and co is also sold at target for $20ish. Calvin klein one is on sale at the rack for $20

I added the holiday bundle for the Classic strap bra and then removed one of the sets in my cart – the $35 per set price didn’t change and I was able to check out using the code for a total of $56 shipped for two sets. (The price per set did go back up to $37.80 when I tried removing two sets.)

Hi, do you have any suggestions for something similar that has light padding sewn in?

I have Gap body bras which are a totally different feel (not nearly as stretchy, but also a wireless soft bra), with the padding is built in.

I will mention that if you’re concerned about the padding shifting around, that hasn’t been an issue for me or my friends who have the NEIWAI bras!

Do you have any suggestions for these types of comfy bras that might fit ladies with a small band size? My band size is 26 but I also wear F cups so I have no idea where to look for soft seamless bras!

    • Jean | Extra Petite wrote:

The recommendation is to hand wash and air dry and that will probably be best for the longevity of any bra. However, I have washed these on a gentle cycle in a mesh bag with the padding still in and laid flat to dry and it’s been fine. But note that I strongly recommend not machine drying anything delicate!

They wouldn’t work for a plunging V-neck line, but the 2021 spaghetti strap version should work with most lower necklines!

I wonder if they’d be suitable for someone with a very narrow back but fairly full breasts? I’m usually a 28C or D. They look great but do you think they’d work on such a narrow back/rib cage?

    • Jean | Extra Petite wrote:

According to their size chart, the size range they recommend starts at 30 so unfortunately it may not work if you’re usually a 28 band

Thanks for reviewing this! Do you feel the cups provide a better shape than a loose sports bra? I have been looking for lounge bras for a while but I’m a 32B and they all flatten me out.

    Posted 4.24.21 Reply
    • Jean | Extra Petite wrote:

They definitely do since even a loose sports bra is still a compression material. The cups give these bras a really nice shape – I’m similar to you in bra size and there is no flattening!

Since it’s one size, have you had any issues with it riding up or straps slipping if it’s loose? I am in the middle of the size range you mentioned but don’t like when the back of a bra rides up.

    • Jean | Extra Petite wrote:

I haven’t had any issues with this and asked my friends who also have these and they haven’t experienced any riding up or slipping either. However, it could completely depend on body type. NEIWAI does offer free returns so it could be worth a try!

Hi Julia, I believe it will depend on which collection you ordered from. The 2021 spaghetti strap bra for instance ships directly from their fulfillment center in China via an international carrier and takes about 2-3 weeks, as mentioned on the item page. But if you ordered the 2020 collection, I received my order via USPS!

Can’t wait to hear how you like them when they arrive!
