Boots Palooza: Cole Haan Fall sale event

Cole Haan boot sale
Just a quick post to share that Cole Haan’s semi-annual event is going on now (use code FALLEVENT), with 30% off site-wide and free shipping and returns! They make some beautiful shoes that are also comfortable, which is always a bonus. Below are my top suggestions, and I’d love to hear your favorites too!

– If you missed out on my Marina OTK boots in past years, they are fully in-stock in both colors and are at a significant discount with this promo. Read my fit review and see more pictures of how they look over jeans, leggings and bare legs! They’re one of the best-fitting boots I own for narrow calves, and very flattering on the legs. I finally caved and got the “stormcloud” gray to join my black pair! Compared to my Stuart Weitzman boots, these are shorter in the shaft height with a slender heel instead of block. The foot area runs on the narrow side, so perhaps go half size up if you’re usually between sizes or have issues with narrow shoes.

– Cole Haan also makes a classic, knee-high Narelle tall boot and ankle Narelle bootie, both in the same stretch suede materials and colors as the Marina style. I haven’t tried these on myself, but on the website, there’s helpful detailed shaft height and width measurements for each shoe size listed at the bottom of the item page.

– One of their most classic ankle booties that comes back year after year is the block-heeled Hayes bootie, which comes in both a zippered version and a gore stretch panel version for slipping on and off. Happy weekend and happy shopping!

You're wearing me down, Jean 🙂 When I've finally cleared out enough room in my closet, there's going to be a place for a flat heeled tall boot!

Jean, can you make a post of your work out regime? I know this is a fashion blog but would love to know more about your work outs.

Hi! To be honest I don't have much of a regime right now (and really need one). On average I run about once a week on the weekends and then do YouTube workouts at home during weekdays sometimes with small hand-held weights. I like Blogilates' youtube videos along with a variety of ones by others which I find just by searching target areas (ie. exercises to tone arms, to tone abs, thighs)

Hi love your blog! I'm always traveling and Europe's carry on luggage is teeny tiny. I'm looking for a wedged heel OTK boot. Any suggestions?

Thank you so much on the recommendation, just rec'd the OTK boots today and am in love with them. Quick question, do you need to pre-treat the suede before wear? If yes, would the Ugg spray work of them?

    I will! 🙂

Hi! I bought the Cole Haan Marina this year on your recommendation. Yay for calves that fit! But I am caught between two sizes. I think I read on your blog that you also had to choose between two sizes, and you wished you had chosen the larger one instead of the smaller. Did the boots ever stretch out? When you bought the gray pair, did you buy a half size larger? Thanks for the info and your helpful blog!

I'm a huge fan of the Cole Haan Marina boots and have been wearing the beautiful grey since last year. They're pretty amazing, and I've been able to easily buff most stains out of them. That said, I was looking for the black pair this year and attempted to buy them online during the Cole Haan sale, but my order didn't go through. I'd pay full price, but my size is sold out, so I went looking for something similar for this year. For anyone looking, Cole Haan seems to have made an Emilee boot a few years ago that is nearly an exact replica of the Marina. If you search for this, it's out there. I got my black pair for $200! Thanks as always for all of the inspiration, Jean!
