ASOS pajama top xs, Hollister lace shorts 00 (runs small, also in white)

Hello hello! Sorry for being MIA this week…we’re in China where my blog along with Facebook, Instagram and other social media is censored and blocked. I circumvented it on my phone, but it’s been a struggle on a laptop! First of all, thank you guys so much for the incredibly helpful, in-depth sunscreen recommendations in the comments of this post. It’s been a challenge for me to find a good one and I am stoked to see so many suggestions that I haven’t yet tried. I read every single comment and only wish I had asked sooner!

Today’s post is going to be a short one given my spotty connection. You guys might remember these lace shorts from this Instagram – I dressed them down a bit with a short floral tank and wedges, and of course flat sandals will make this even more casual and appropriate for an afternoon walking around town.

These wedges come in 2 neutrals and a sunny yellow, and are comfortable given how sky high they are. Wedges are hard to gauge from photos online – sometimes they arrive and feel like a sack of bricks, but these are very lightweight. Fit-wise, I’m in between 5 – 5.5 and often size up for Sole Society shoes, but these fit in a size 5 with a little room toe spare.

This top is actually part of an adorable PJ set that I’ve been loving! I’ve been lazy and have worn the top out over denim shorts as well (as seen on my Snapchat). The set also comes in petites too but I thought the regular (which I have on) was already pretty short. A benefit of the petites though could be higher armholes, but for pajamas I really didn’t mind a more casual fit!

Hi Jean! I was on the fence about buying the soho disco bag in rose beige, but seeing all your posts sold me on it 🙂 How do you clean and care for the bag?

Thank you! You should try a gloss every so often … it's less pricey than a full hair coloring at the salon, and it's more subtle color just to "tint" either bleached or gray hairs so will look less obvious with new growth.

I can't believe thats a PJ top! It's super cute!

I could definitely use another hair tutorial that shows just how you get so much volume when you wear your hair down like that. It's gorgeous!

The Hollister website has 'Guys' and 'Girls' sections, but the 'Girls' section is definitely adult women sizes! 🙂

buy sunscreen while you are in Asia!! (I commented on your earlier post very insistent on Asian sunscreens, and I still am) not sure if you are going to Korea or Japan, which have the best Asian beauty products, but many Biore sunscreens are available in China.

and please take some of the comments for sunscreen with a grain of salt, if you are truly looking for sun protection many of the recommendations are no good b/c they are not UVA protective and/or they are too expensive to use liberally. some rules: never ever mix your sunscreen, never buy an expensive one b/c you won't use enough of it, never ever use makeup (cushions, bb creams, etc.) as your only source of sunscreen – these are not enough and are not real protection!

I love the highlights in your hair. Having dark hair myself, I find it hard to conceal my incoming greys. Is there anything you'd suggest that is low maintenance?
