I love my fitted pieces, but in the midst of summer nothing beats something that’s flowy and lets a little breeze through. This swing dress looks almost indecently short on the online model, which usually means a good length on petite ladies. When online shopping, don’t let yourself get turned off by poor reviews without reading through them – a lot of times they are due to fit running small or short, which might actually be positive news for other shoppers!
This shift dress is fully lined in a pullover style, and swings playfully with each step. You can leave the chiffon ties hanging long or looped into a small bow. Please note the armholes are on the bigger side so I plan on taking them in a bit. I paired it here with all white and neutrals except for a hint of color in my bright blue tassel earrings.
These A.J. Morgan sunglasses are another find from Nordstrom – I looked everywhere for white, retro-style shades for summer and was skeptical since these were priced so low. I’ve never heard of the brand before, but the fit of these is actually very good on my narrow face and flat nose bridge. You get what you pay for as these are plastic-y, but I can’t complain as I just saw they are now marked down to a super steal at $14 from the original $25. I can’t speak to any other style by this brand, but the fit of this particular one makes it a keeper for me as “fun” glasses, and they also come in black and tortoise.
Thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post!
