Wedding by the Windmill (& Talbots necklace giveaway!)

*Giveaway now closed. Thank you everyone for entering!* The winner is Nadia S
CT wedding4
ASOS dress (old – similar by KS), Talbots cabochon necklace c/o (50% off today!)
Sole Society Anneke heels c/o (also avail. at Nordstrom – runs small/narrow)

These photos were taken at our friends’ beautiful wedding in CT this past weekend. We pulled up to the venue, and I pretty much leapt out of the car upon seeing a windmill at the end of a stone bridge, surrounded by a little moat…could you get more charming?
CT wedding3
I wore this ASOS dress purchased in the dead of winter (planning ahead paid off!) and accessorized simply with a cabochon stone necklace. The marbled (hard to see clearly in photos) stones are gorgeous, reminiscent of one of my beloved necklaces from AT but in a neutral palette. talbots necklaceI liked this necklace so much, I asked the Talbots team to do a small giveaway for you guys! Simply leave a comment letting me know which Talbots necklace you’d like to win, and I’ll pick a randomly-generated winner on Monday (U.S. only – sorry international friends!). Talbots is also having a rare 50% off everything today. I find their items to be of very good quality and wish they made more extended sizing! My picks from the sale are this 100% cotton banana leaf dress that starts in Petite P (please note, sizing runs a little big and P = ~0/2) and the basic opaque hosiery (I pretty much live in the navy + black during cold weather…durable material that does not pill or tear).
CT wedding2
I originally had plans for fanciful heels, but after seeing the events schedule running from 10AM – midnight, practicality won over. These nude studded heels lengthen as much as 2.5″ possibly can, and lasted me through hours of dancing and exploring the pretty premises. Would highly recommend, but please note again these fit narrow and run about half a size small.

CT wedding1Good luck to those entering the giveaway! Please include just your first name and last initial, and no email addresses to prevent spam.

I absolutely love your blog because I am the same height, have the same shoe size, and similar measurements as you so being able to actually find petite size clothing or clothes in general that fit me through your blog is amazing. And the location of this shoot is breath-taking, I would love to visit it myself and take scenic pictures of the windmill! I find the Sterling Silver and Pearl necklace just so dainty and I'd love to have it in my jewelry collection!
