Preview: Thrifting Chronicles, $4 Kids Tweed Dress Set

thriftedtweed1
Happy Friday, readers! I’m currently on vacation and hope to resume posting next week. I know I owe many of you emails from months past, so thank you again for your patience. Just wanted to do a quick preview of one of my favorite thrift store finds to date – a little girls Easter twinset which I’ve converted into a flirty tweed sheath dress, all for $4! I look forward to sharing more about this (and the simple alterations performed) soon.

Hi Malika…I don't have enough to say on pearls to do a video, but I love shopping for them on eBay and also the multi-layered ones at Nordstrom rack.

I'm trying to save on tailoring costs by doing simple things myself. For more complex items will probably have to go back to Hemmingway Tailors

Yes it was pretty easy to do…the jacket on the other hand is quite the challenge : )

You are SERIOUSLY making me regret not paying attention to the sewing lessons my mom shepherded me off to in elementary school. I wish I had even just half of your sewing talent!

I wish I could alter as well as you do. I don't even know how to do a simple hem job.
    But I think I shall try…very soon!
