Finds under $30: Stylish Summer Dresses, Diverse Dolls

amazon finds petite summer dress bump friendly

Hello hello – for today’s post I wanted to share some semi-random Amazon finds I’ve been loving, ranging from bump friendly dresses to my everyday sunglasses to Nori’s racially diverse dolls (with a coupon code)! You can also find many of my Amazon home, kitchen, and baby favorites on this page, which I try to update regularly.

1. Flirty floral dress (bump friendly)

This dress is by the same brand as the romantic eyelet maxi dress (see my review and how that one looks over a bump) that was a big hit with you guys over the years! Both have a stretchy bodice, however the maxi dress fits a little smaller in the same size 0-2. This floral dress in 0-2 measures 16.5″ across the underarms and 13″ across the waist when lying flat (stretches a lot).

The fabric on this is lightweight and the skirt portion is lined. It can be styled casually with sneakers and a denim jacket, or easily dressed up with sandals or heels. I usually wear my favorite adhesive nippies with off-shoulder styles, but for this dress I’m actually wearing just my regular bra with the straps tucked into the sleeves.

2. Flutter Sleeve Dress (bump friendly)

I’ll try to share a photo soon on IG, but this summery dress actually looks JUST as cute as pictured, with feminine ruffle sleeves and a breezy A-line skirt (hits 2 inches above my ankles). The fabric is a substantial medium-weight cotton / linen blend, and I love the generously sized pockets! The bodice is gathered and stretchy all around, making this comfy for all day wear.

Both colorways are being restocked soon, but you can pre-order it now before it sells out again.

The smallest size is 4-6 (tag says “Small”) which fits TTS and works on me during pregnancy, but I believe it will be big on someone who is my pre-pregnancy size. The fit is pretty forgiving giving the stretch bodice.

3. Girls Darling Sundress

Very fun and bold retro-inspired dress that has been a compliment magnet! Love this so much, I bought a second one after Nori outgrew the first. Note this runs short and also shrinks in the washer / dryer. Nori is about 35 inches tall, almost 2 years old, and wears size 3-4T in this. As her old one got too short, she just wore it as a top with shorts underneath.

4. Racially Diverse Dolls

We’ve been working on diversifying Nori’s bookshelf as well as the toys in our home. These dolls are anatomically correct with a diverse range of options, including Black, Asian and Latinx in both boy and girl, baby or toddler dolls. After I shared about these on IG, Miniland saw and gave me a coupon code (see below)!

Note: the dolls do NOT come with the cute outfits pictured, just with white undergarments. You can purchase doll clothes separately, or, I sewed some for Nori’s doll using her outgrown clothes!

5. Flattering $15 Sunglasses that Fit

I’ve splurged on several pairs of sunglasses including a few Celines over the years, but admittedly this bargain pair has been my most worn one lately!

The fit is actually a lot better than my Celine Audreys (sits higher up on my more flat nose bridge and doesn’t slide down) and is more lightweight, so has been more comfortable for prolonged wear!

Hi, Jean! Thank you for posting these! For the flutter sleeve dress (#2), do you find that the neckline is nursing friendly? Is it stretchy enough to be pulled down?

Hi Jenny! I just tried and I can manage to pull it down but it’ll depend on how snug the overall fit is on you, I don’t find it to be the most nursing friendly for that reason since it’ll take a little wrangling to get off one shoulder!

The white and blue flower dress is so gorgeous! Can you push the sleeves up at all? I love the off-shoulder look but I prefer a more conservative look sometimes.

Hi Rose, sorry for the delay! I just tried it and this one doesn’t quite work as well with the sleeves pushed up!

We love minikane gordis/Paola reina dolls. Similar to miniland with more cute baby rolls and has a slight vanilla scent. The bald babies I heard are water/bath friendly.
