We made it back to Boston tonight and were met with a pleasant surprise - it was warmer here than in Hawaii (quite a change from when we had left town)! We took advantage and had dinner al fresco in the neighborhood at Frenchie, which is a little slice of Paris on the sidewalks of Boston.
Before the 50% off sale at Ann Taylor comes to an end tonight, I wanted to share this vibrant look that I picked out from their latest collection. I've been loving their new earrings, including these statement round raffia ones I bought while on vacation (see them on me), and these medium-sized beaded tassel ones which come in 5 colors. The "midnight depths" color is actually a gorgeous medium silver, which has a vintage feel against the antique gold-toned accents.
Ann Taylor makes petite wrap dresses each season in multiple colors and patterns, the latest of which is this vibrant tomato red-orange one with gray fern print. The material is machine-washable and stretchy, and my usual size was a good fit on me throughout (even the sleeve length, which ends right at my wrist bone). The cut is very similar to iconic wrap dresses that are several times the price, however note per online reviews that the neckline may be less flattering on those with fuller busts.
As for work-friendly sale suggestions, this striped wrap top (2 color options) combines two things that I adore. Just ordered it to try, and will keep you guys posted on fit/quality after it arrives. I've also been a fan of their machine-washable camp shirts, and love this cute new orange blossom print for spring / summer pairings.
One other piece that I did try on and would recommend is this bardot-style striped top, which probably wouldn't have caught my eye online! In person, I liked that the material was thicker with good elasticity. It fit snugly on me across the shoulders, and would look chic tucked into an A-line skirt or paired with black or colored slacks. You can also wear it higher up on the shoulders like a wide boat neckline.
Thank you to Ann Taylor for partnering on this post.
